Hi all it is thanksgiving today and since we had our celebration yesterday it was a day of leisure and reflection. So it was that I have been thinking a lot about the right angled triangle of 1. 2 and the square root of 5 as well as 1, square root of 3 and 2. These according to my exhaustive studies are key in the design of what we find at Giza and in our solar system. Most would have you believe it is all a big coincidence but I would propose that they are in error and blind to an apparent truth as well. I have done studies before and it has always bothered me about the placement of The Great Pyramid. Sure it is not exactly at 30 degrees but it is definitely close enough that it warrants further evaluation. Thus having finished my lunch of turkey sandwiches I decided to re-visit the problem. The first thing I did was find a globe that had 30 and 60 degrees marked on it.
Here is the image I used:
I then drew a line from the origin (center of circle) to where 30 degrees was marked on our globe and went about solving for its location.
Here is that image:
Now in the past I had drawn the line at 30 degrees and then measured up from the equator 1/2 the radius shown and assumed that this was where it hit the globe but I was mistaken for when I scaled the image out I realized that from the equator to our 30 degree point of the circle was 1/2 the radius of the circle and that the distance to the perpendicular line that defined 30 degrees from our origin point was the square root of 3 or 1.7320508. I also then decided to calculate the actual arc distance using a perfect circle. I will leave it to others to take into account the egg shape of our Earth. The next image shows the calculations I came up with. For me it was an eye opener.
Image below:
So what we have is The Great Pyramid situated on The Earth in an almost perfect representation of a 1, sq rt of 3, 2 right angled triangle. And of course 60 degrees is similar.
I did not know this.
