Hi Michelle ... Interesting and I did not know that there were women knights. I thought that this might be a cute picture for your profile until a better one came along. If you like it under your profile [if you ever remember to sign in ] you can click "I have my own picture" and place this URL in the opening: donbarone.altervista.org/Third/michelle_knight_icon.jpgThe maximum size allowed is 100 pixels so set the height for 100 pixels and the width for 57 pixels Cheers Don Barone

Order of the Hatchet!
I wouldn't like to meet that lot on a dark night...
Well, I never knew about women Knights and it puts to rest the myth about inequality in the middle ages.

Hi Michelle ...
Colour version has been added. By the way the image right now is 65 x 65 pixles. Try changing it to 100 pixels in height and 57 in width. You can acces this under "Profile"

Hi Michelle,
Interesting information. Arghhh, sorting out historical women knights from allegory, such as must be the story of supernatural character Maud de Braose, building a castle single handed in one night, carring the stones in her apron, flinging some for 3 miles into a churchyard across a river, would take a few years.
For some years I have toyed with the idea of forming a "Round Table Feminine", beings this is the age of women. Maybe I'll put an add in the paper and see what happens.
Thanks
Charlotte

Hi Charlotte Maude was one powerful woman! LOL You can't help feeling a bit "left out" by history seeing how many legends are out there about women. I remember seeing a TV show where they showed all these gorgeous artworks by women... they were all stored in the basement of this big art gallery (can't remember which one now). Made me both sad and angry. Maybe a new age needs a round table of both men and women, hmm? Glad you enjoyed the info. regards Michelle PS - Don, thanks for the pixel tip. First time I put 100 WIDTH by mistake and made her look SERIOUSLY overweight. LOL She looks a lot better now.
