Didn't see the beginning, rather surfed into "Black Narcissus" last evening. It was so chaotic that I watched a few minutes, checked a few more channels, went back because it struck me as unusual, the title also intriguing. The film, I thought, was either fast-paced and disjointed, or my mind slow-paced, however, I appreciated the variety of diverse cultures as they are, liked the representation of "the wise man" steeped in his own world, the beautiful scenery and shared the elation of the nun ringing the bell which sound transported me to the serenety of the Himalayas. My interpretation of Himalaya: Himmel = Heaven in German, Laya = still center in Hindu, besides, there is Mt. Ever-rest. I have always wondered who appropriated these names. Anyhow, it is an interesting movie in all its connotations, impossible to describe, not that I'm inclined to do so. When it was over and thinking a few minutes of what I just saw, I was worried that I'd have nightmares, but actually had a dream instead. Hope everyone has a great Farmers Market, is where I'm off to, and a "Trader Joe", all products are GMO free

Not a film but TV series, I surfed past "Guardians of the Galaxy" when searching for something interesting or something to put me to sleep. One time I stopped to watch for about 5 minutes for the name intrigued me. Don't and never did like shows or films with grotesque cratures, exploding things and the like.
Basically, the good people Guardians procure, according to Wikipedia, "an artifact that is called the Spartaxian CryptoCube that is tied to the Spartax race. Inside is a map leading to the cosmic seed". I like it and the names too.
It doesn't say how they obtained this treasure, perhaps they studied much, or a member of the mysterious Spartax Race gave it to them. I know nothing about comics, but I can imagine that is the race of 'The Immortals', who else would possess such a treasure.
"The cosmic seed is a powerful weapon that is capable of creating a new universe. The Guardians of the Galaxy must find and destroy the cosmic seed before it winds up in the hands of Thanos" et al, the bad people, or anyone else who would abuse its power."
It says, however, that the Guardians have obtained the powerful artifact already, so my idea is that they should guard it, which apparently they do because our current universe is alive, a new one in the making by the by, depending on how we, Humanity, project and fashion it, according to Hermes, the Elders of the Orthodox Religion, and quantum physics.
"Thanos is defeated, the Guardians find a strange sarcophagus on Thanos' asteroid base that has strange abilities and is later stolen by Yondu". That could be Yoda.
"Competing with Mantis (a women) and the Universal Believers" the Guardians endeavor to find the sarcophagus, perhaps the one in the Kings Chamber, beacause it later "hatches into Adam Warlock", and because the Guardians of the Galaxy "were able to get him to follow his own destiny on the right path". If one can think it was the sacophagus in the Kings Chamber, it would mean that Adam was re-born.
As I think of it, the Guardians would already know the location of the sarcophagus.
A good Sunday to one and all.

According to the Guardians of the Galaxy we know, the myriad of great teachers and writers of this Humanity down the ages who have recorded what we need to know to get to "the totality of ourself", or Kingdom within, a new universe cannot be created by the by as mentioned as it renews perpetually with all life in it.
Then I thought, 'God is the Guardian of the Galaxy', but on second thought that cannot be said, because it would mean that the Galaxy is a living movement He watches over, so to speak, apart from Him.
It is no secret that the Priesthood, great Poets and Scholars, and Composers of myths and legend telling about caves beside great waterfalls where wise men and women dwell, of all Civilizations and Cultures were and are the Guardians also of Knowledge.
"People will perhaps laugh at a priest who heeds [astrology]. But I, relaying on the authority of the Persians, Egyptians and Chaldeans consider that Heavenly matters in truth were the sole concern of the Priest."
Marsilio Ficino, the great Renaissance Scholar and Priest, whom Thomas Taylor, himself a Guardian, titled 'divine'.
It's how I escape the 'real world'.

Didn't see the very beginning of Dr. Shivago, watched the film last Saturday, the brutality man inflicts on one another and the endless suffering to this very day. At times, the harrowing circumstances too much to bear, Yuri the Poet took refuge in the song knowing that hope's spring flows eternal as does the river at the end of the film, under a rainbow Noted in the film was that the last Emperor of Russia, Nicholas II of the Romanov Dynasty, was "the enemy of people". Nicholas, his wife, even though granddaughter of Queen Victoria, and their children were murdered by the Bolsheviks. This lamentable history is recorded by the Orthodox Church which deified the family.
