'Twas a nice break from the routine, happy time with the family, chilly up north and here too.
It so happened that we surfed into "National Treasure". Even though I looked at it frame by frame several times in the past, it was good seeing it again, could do without the DC chase and such. This time I thought of Grand Master De Moley and the reason given why he was murdered, and tortured with other Templar or anyone suspected of having or knowing about the Treasure, which, grandpa told young Ben Gates is "a treasure beyond all imaginings", 'fought over by Pharaoh's, tyrants, Emperors and warlords', as goes the explanation in the film. Emperors, tyrants and warlords maybe, but not by the Kings of Egypt, or rather the Temple Priests, who tell us about it.
Playing during yard work was this song I haven't heard in a long time
In nineteen and ninety-six we ventured to the moon Onto the Sea Of Crisis like children from the womb. We journeyed cross the great wall plain beneath the mountain range And there we saw the pyramid, it looked so very strange.
This beacon had a field of force, that circled all around And not a man could get inside, no way could be found. It was here for thousands of years before our life began Waiting very patiently for evolving man.
When the galaxy was young they looked upon the earth And saw that its position was promising for birth. They searched for life but finding none they left a beacon bright Its signal had not been disturbed in the eternal light.
How wise they were to chose this place, they knew when we arrived That our atomic energy, we'd harnessed and survived. I look out on the milky way for people of the dawn I know that they will come some day but will our wait be long?
In nineteen and ninety-six we ventured to the moon Onto the Sea Of Crisis like children from the womb. We journeyed cross the great wall plain beneath the mountain range And then we saw the pyramid, it looked so very strange.
That was nice too, and spacy.
P.S. Come to think of it, for whomever it matters, in the film it was the Masons who lit their torches in the Great Pyramid and brought the flame via Europe to New York, where it was hidden deep under the "Trinity Church", the Treasure, that is.

Up north, we also watched a program on the "Folger Shakespeare Library" in DC. As such shows are, some general scholarly information on the Bard and the Elizabethan Era was given. Among other Notables of the time, Francis Bacon was mentioned as a Scientist. The Library is close to the US Capitol and politicians occasionally stroll over to fetch quoits for their speeches, as did Sarah Palin and Michele Bachman, both misquoting the lines, it was said. Ted Cruz, who usually says nothing, once enthralled the Audience on the Senate Floor by reciting how to fight the good fight.
Leaving the mundane world
From fairest creatures we desire increase, That thereby beauty's rose might never die. But as the riper should by time decrease, His tender heir might bear his memory: But thou, contracted to thine own bright eyes, Feed'st thy lights flame with self-substantial fuel, Making a famine where abundance lies, Thyself thy foe, to thy sweet self too cruel. Thou that art now the world's fresh ornament And only herald to the gaudy spring, Within thine own bud buriest thy content And tender churl, mak'st waste in niggarding. Pity the world, or else this glutton be, To eat the world's due, by the grave and thee.
William Shakespeare

Love traveling, sorry I can't find the better video again to show the guest house of Castle Elman where us guests are lodging. Being familiar with the area, I invited our President to visit Garmisch-Partenkirchen to see the salt mines and meet my friend Don Baron to personally give him a pinch of salt

Back in LA "safe and sound", telling axiom this we generally don't pay much mind too, as is "a sound theory", "this sounds right".
Anyhow, Air Force One made a stopover at LAX, a limousine was waiting to take me to my humble apartment, courtesy of Barack who wished me well.
The air and cultural atmosphere is noticeably different here, heavier to breathe as opposed to Bavaria so thin as if non-existent, the atmosphere leisurely without world effecting events.
After wiggling my way out of that one, I can turn my attention back to the Pyramid Texts, and healing Temples where sound was an important healing instrument, I suspect.

This long Father's Day Driving to Church I was moved by these words From the Church Bulletin, remembering my Father. PROVERBS 4: 1-5 Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, and give attention to know understanding; for I give you good doctrine, do not forsake my law. When I was my father's son, tender and the only one in the sight of my mother, he also taught me, and said to me: "Let your heart retain my words; keep my commands, and live. Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Then I watched and admired the Mother's of 'the white lions of Kruger Park'.

Days, weeks, month and years fly by, my neighbor's Christmas lights are twinkling (California lol), opened my eyes yesterday morning to behold the serene Blue Moon like a wonder in the sky shining in my bedroom. I never inquired why in the German Mind 'der Mond' is masculine, and 'die Sonne' feminine. Today is overcast, so

It's a wonder I can write anything at all after 18 weeks of relentless work, but the sky is clearing and I'm so looking forward to leaving for greener pastures and rain, rain! As much as I love California sunshine, I can say with Hamlet that I've been too long in the sun, tho he probably meant a different sun. Its a wonder I could write anything at all, let alone take a closer look at your diagrams, Don, during this time as the mundane world almost consumed me, almost.

How hot is it in LA? So hot that 'they' cool us off predicting a super el nino with tons of rain. Saw sand castles, other sculptures, and a "Good Luck Dragon" formed on the beach yesterday. Shown on this video are the works of great artists with great minds. I don't know about "the tree of Life", looks like images of dwarf-like Ancients to me, maybe building the World, so the tree does have resonance, and it is called "The Watering Hole" whence flows life.

Almost all taxi drivers at LAX are from the Middle East, some from the Balkan States. A few days ago, it was a gentleman from Eritrea. He told me that there is an island in the Red Sea called Eritrea, and that Eritrea is a Greek word. I looked it up and found Eritrea to be a town in Euboea, Greece, and that Eritrea means "city of the rowers". He told me a little bit of the usual history, and I told that I walked on the shore of the Sea and did see islands. We talked politics and the dire situation of Humanity at the present. His understanding and solutions were guided by so good a common sense as I haven't heard in a long time, so it was enjoyable.
I asked him if he knew the "legend" of the foundation of the Pyramids being built with massy stones from Ethiopia, that the King of Egypt put in them all the sciences, all things wise man said, sacred books etc., and in each Pyramid a Treasurer, as set forth in "The Enduring Mystery". Of course, I didn't mention the Mystery, and of course, he had not heard of the legend. I just wanted to say something about the Pyramids.

Greetings from Mt. Olympus, the mountain Don hath chosen a spot for me.
At first and looking at the Mountain, I was almost discouraged considering the arduous climb, but then, who would not want to visit the abode of the Greek gods, Divinities instrumental in finding the Lost Chord of my last post.
Wikipedia states that the name Olympus means "sky", "bright", "high", "rock", and in Turkish it means "heaven's house". The easiest and fastest means to get to this bright place, I thought, is to call upon Pegasus acquainted with the Muses, to convey me to the home of the Twelve Olympian gods of the learned Greeks.
Apparently, the gods have good reasons to hide from us mortals, for
"The Twelve Olympian gods lived in gorges, where there were also their palaces. Pantheon (today Mytikas) was their meeting place and theater of their stormy discussions. The Throne of Zeus (today Stefani) hosted solely him, the leader of the gods. From there he unleashed his thunderbolts, expressing his godly wrath."
Among the Twelve were Hera, Hestia, Demeter, Poseidon, Artemis, Athena, Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaestus, Hermes and Apollo. "In the Iliad Olympus is referred as great, long, brilliant and full of trees." Great is the Wisdom of Athena and Hermes, and love of Aphrodite, brilliant the works of Hephaestus, and the Lyre of Apollo "is only audible to holy ears, say the poets".
"In Pieria, on Olympus' northern foot, the mythological tradition had placed the nine Muses, patrons of the Fine Arts, daughters of Zeus and the Titanide Mnemosyne: Colliope (Epic Poetry), Clio (History), Erato (Love Poetry), Euterpe (Music), Melpomene, (Tragedy), Polyhymnia (Hymns), Terpsichore (Dance), Thalia (Comedy), and Urania (Astronomy)."
I can only dream of being a resident on Olympus, but loving all these gods, I can, now and then, ascend to these lofty regions, ask permission to enter the gorges and dwell among them in the evening hours, learning from their stormy discussions.
Meanwhile, here on Earth

Off again on a 4 day Holiday to Oakland, this time a Family Reunion.
Very early this morning the sky was covered with dark clouds which changed to grey, then evaporated as did our hope of rain in SoCal.
I was searching for music to listen to while pealing apples for Apfelstrudel, so happened on a lecture by Lloyd Pye, "Everything You Know Is Wrong".
Mr. Pye said many interesting things I could agree with, especially the knowledge of the Ancients, others I don't know much about, hence more coinages in my brain which didn't add up to a Dollar. The biggest problem I have, and I read this before, was toward the end when Mr. Pye said that the Anunnaki came to Earth for gold as an insulater against atmospheric conditions or some such, and altered the genetic of the then humans to be their slaves. Whether this is true or not, I don't know, it is the slave idea that vexes me.
Due to my recent notes on the Vril Damen, I formed for myself a different, a benevolent opinion concerning the Anunnaki. Mr. Pye categorically states that we are the human species they made us, but why make us slaves. The only reason I can think of is that perhaps in the beginning they made us work in the gold mines, in Africa, for survival of the species they created. Well, I'm no wiser for it and don't want to waste my time with reading and listening to all sort of conjecture on the net. It's intriguing though, and I must first learn more about the Sumerians.

We in Southern California almost gave up on El Nino, even joked about it at times, but we did have really good rain a few days ago. Last night strong winds rattled my windows, early this morning rare lightening and thunder scared us, suddenly it began to pour and driven by a strong wind the drops sounded like hail. I understand northern California is getting pummeled and drenched as well, so we are grateful.
Thanks to extraordinary rain, Death Valley National Park is in full bloom, who can imagine a dry and desolate desert sheltering so much beautiful life until the waters come, like the waters of grace on a dormant soul.
Lakes are reborn when it rains in the desert

To my great surprise and joy I found an old toy top yesterday at a garage sale and bought it. As children we took turns to pump it as long and hard as we could on a hard smooth spot or concrete, ran onto the grass a few feet as it turned on a point and moved about, stood still and listened spellbound to the hum. This we repeated until we lost interest, during intervals we would twirl ourselves until dizzily throwing our heads back and falling to the ground. Our Kreisel, Kreis=circle, was of tin, no pictures or colours, but the sound was similar to this one, though much more muted and mysterious because on a different surface and out in the open.
Now I'm thinking that perhaps our Kreisel was unadorned on purpose so as not to distract with colour and images, rather being fascinated by the spinning and the humming creating a sense of eteral space and wonder as it was with me, but didn't have a name for it was just fun to do so. Now I'm curious of who invented the top and when, it may have to do with heavely bodies spinning, a hurricane or the dervishes whirling to achieve a still center, which we as children experienced and liked, or some other banal explanation.

Read up a bit on the spinning top, all writers seem to agree that the top was inspired by observing spinning objects in nature, or children playing with and making nuts or acorns spin, no inner response or wider meaning as was my thinking, except by Virgil. I'm sure it's out there, my reading was superficial.
Wikipedia
"The top is one of the oldest recognizable toys found on archaelogical sites. Spinning tops originated independently in cultures all over the world. Besides toys, tops have also historically been used for gambling and prophecy. Some role-playing games use tops to augment dice in generating randomized results; it is in this case referred to as a spinner."
Two things here: the use for prophecy and gambling is not unusual, similar to other items, cards, flower petals etc., but the top used like a dice to generate random results, in which case it is referred to as a 'spinner' has residence in the German language. A person imagining all sorts of crazy things or making up all sorts of outlandish stories is called a Spinner because he generates random results, is laughed with when witty, or at and ridiculed when trying to pull the wool over the listeners eyes.

Well we don't hear with our eyes but that's easy to change when reading. The top is mentioned back in classical literature. Homer, Plato, Aristophanies, and Shakespeare make mention of it, which "adds to the puzzle". If it was invented by observing nature it's not so puzzling. There are 1001 things that spin, from our Galaxy to the atom, if it doesn't spin it can be made to spin such as the potters wheel, flywheel, spindel, or the rapid to and fro movement of a stick to produce fire. As far as I read, there is no mention of the Dervishes, or a hurricane which center eye is complete calmness, which it is said the Dervishes strive to achieve by whirling. Because it is afine to my thinking, it was nice to read in wiki that after vigorously pumping and letting go, the top wobbles momentarely, then achieves and upright position called the "sleep" position "for an extendet period", to my thinking the calm of the Dervishes, eye of the hurricane, the enchanting humming taking the mind into the mystic realms of universal space, because in Germany the top is also called a "Zauberkreisel". Magic top. Another parallel can be made with the wobble of our planet and axis: the top will slow down and circle round a few times like a drunk and crash because we and all living things are caught up in tremendous friction, participate in the workings of the universe, or, perhaps in due time it and we will be again in an "upright" postion, because "less friction means longer "sleep" time." Tops were installed in town squares for people to spin to keep us humming and upright Reading that tops were "invented, almost simulaneously and independently on different continents" reminds of the "hundred monkey" idea, I don't know if it was derided by hard core science, don't care, definately by our we can explain everything skeptics, but there are these wormholes, a tunnel with two ends, "linking two seperate points in spacetime", for short. "Wormholes might allow effective supernuminal (faster-than-light) travel...", the rest is technical. Thought travels faster than light and such is called telepathy. Time travel is also explained technically, at the end of the day it "means that anything which entered the accelerated wormhole mouth would exit the stationary one at a point in time prior to its entry." Good luck Aenaid, by Virgil She wanders aimless, fevered and unstrung Along the public ways; as oft one sees Beneath the twisted whips a leaping top Sped in long spirals through a palace-close By lads at play; obediant to the thong, It weaves wide circles in the gaping view Of its small masters, who admiring see The whirling boxwood made a living thing Under their lash.
