Should have thought more. In mulling over a problem, or posing the yes-or-no question of John Wheeler, maybe my Phi Teacher said:
"What you are looking for is looking for you".
What you are looking for is looking for you, responding. Quantum mechanics.
And then
What you are looking at is looking at you, both apply to Philosophy and QM alike, as does this what Madam Blavatsky writes: "It must not be forgotten, also, that we give names to things according to the appearance they assume for ourselves." And yea the Poet glances from heaven to eath and from earth to heaven
And as imagination bodies forth The forms of things unknown, the poet's pen Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing A local habitation and a name.
Doubly favored
"... and we know not, nay, nor search not by what creative miracle the soul's language is writ in perishable forms— yet are we aware of such existences crowding, mysterious beauties unexpanded, unreveal'd, phantasies intangible investing us closely, hid only from our eyes by skies that will not clear; active presences, striving to force an entrance, like bodiless exiled souls in dumb urgence pleading to be brought to birth in our conscious exsitence, as if our troubled lot were the life they long'd for; even as poor mortals thirst for immortality:— And every divination of Nature or reach of Art is nearer attainment to the divine plentitude of understanding, and in moments of Vision their unseen company is the breath of Life:—"
Out of the corner of our eyes
There is much talk these days of many Universes and the discovery of many Planets.
"The Secrete Doctrine teaches the progressive development of everything, worlds as well as atoms; and this stupendous development has neither conceivable beginning nor imaginable end. Our "Universe" is only one of an infinite number of Universes, all of them "Sons of Necessity," because links in the great Cosmic chain of Universes, each one standing in the relation of an effect as regards its predessessor, and being a cause as regards it succcessor."
Just like Humanity, each Person a Universe unto himself, a quantum Entity, in relation of an effect as regards our Parents and Progeny.
Madam Blavatsky, 1831--1891, also predicted a great leap in Science. Max Planck, 1858--1947, and many others.
"We are at the very close of the cicle of 5,000 years of the present Aryan Kaliyuga; and between this time and 1897 there will be a large rent made in the Veil of Nature, and materialistic science will receive a death blow."
5,000 years is also a major Phoenix cicle. As you see, I'm a defender of the Lady, vilified by some such morons incapable of either apprehending, let alone comprehending her Works, pardon me. Reminds me of Elizabeth I dismissing qualms by some of her Court concerning her association with John Dee with "they understand it not". In both cases, an agenda and jealousy play a role, as currently also with the gang of foxes denigrating our President relentlessy, but He stands and Michelle keeps dancing.
All this I came across looking for the "curds" in cosmic creation of the Secrete Doctrine that stuck in Mind, found them and the relationship to the eatable Quark/Curd of German cuisine, and the quarks of Science. It's a fanciful cosmic tale of cows, the Milky Way, quarks, Quark and curds, language and imagination the gluons.

Besides the first German site I found googling Quark, titled "Discover the secrets of the World", having to do with cows, milk products etc., this morning I read a bit on one German site: from the cow to Quark, that the cow is the atom of the milk industry, and surprise, the Speaker also associating this Quark with the quark of science, so there is hope for me.
Anyhow, I wanted to write about the curds of the beginning of the Universe, as related by Madam Blavatsky.
In short
Stanza III
"The luminous egg, which in itself is three, curdles and spreads in milky-white curds throughout the depths of mother, the root that grows in the ocean of life."
Given in two paragraphs, Commentary by Madam:
"The radiant essence curdled and spread throughout the depths" of space. From an astronomical point of view this is easy of explanation: it is the "milky way," the world-stuff, or primordial matter in its first form. It is more difficult, however, to explain it in a few words or even lines, from the standpoint of Occult Science and symbolism, as it is the most complicated of glyphs. Herein are enshrined more than a dozen symbols. To begin with, the whole pantheon of mysterious objects, every one of them having some definite Occult meaning, extracted from the allegorical "churning of the ocean" by the Hindu gods. Besides Amrita the water of life of immortality, Surabhi" the "cow of plenty," called "the fountain of milk and curds," was extracted from this "Sea of Milk." Hence the universal adoration of the cow and bull, one the productive, the other the generative power in Nature: symbols connected with both the Solar and the Cosmic deities."
Here, the closest would be the sacred cows in India, and also the importance of cows and bull symbolism of Egypt.
"The specific properties, for occult purposes, of the "fourteen precious things," being explained only in the fouth Initiation, cannot be given here; but the following may be remarked. In the "Sathapatha Brahmana" it is stated that the churning of the "Ocean of Milk" took place in the Satya Yug, the first age which immediately followed the "Deluge." As, however, neither the Rig Veda nor Manu—both preceding Vaivasvata's "deluge", that of the bulk of the Fourth Race—mention this deluge, it is evident that it is not the "great" deluge, nor that which carried away Atlantis, nor even the deluge of Noah, which is meant here. This "churning" relates to a period before the earth's formation, and is in direct connection with that other universal legend, the various and contradictory versions of which culminated in the Christian dogma of the "War in Heaven," and the fall of the Angels (see Book II., also Revelation chap.xii.). The Bramanas, reproached by the Orientalists with their versions on the same subject, often clashing with each other, are-eminently occult works, hence used purposely as blinds. They are allowed to survive for public use and property only because they were and are absolutely unintelligible to the masses. Otherwise they would have disappeared from circulation as long ago as the days of Akbar."
Stanza III.—Continued.
The Root remains, the Light remains, the curds remain, and still OEAOHOO is One.
"OEAOHOO is rendered Father-Mother of the Gods" in the Commentaries . . .
"This refers to the Non-Seperateness of all that lives and has its being, whether in active ot passive state." OEAOHOO is the "Rootless Root of All" - in another sense it is the name for the manifested One Life, the Eternal living Unity.
"The "Light" is the same Omnipresent Spiritual Ray, which has entered and now fecundated the Divine Egg, and calls cosmic matter to begin its long series of differentiations. The curds are the first differentiation, and probably refer also to the cosmic matter which is supposed to be the origin of thr "Milky Way"—the matter we know. This "matter," which, according to the revelation received from the primevil Dhyani-Buddhas, is, during the periodical sleep of the Universe, of the ultimate tenuity, radical and cool, becomes, at the first reawakening of cosmic motion, scattered through Space; appearing, when seen from the Earth, in clusters and lumps, like curds in thin milk. These are the seeds of the future worlds, the "Star-stuff."
Perhaps I saw, in my dream, this matter "during the periodical sleep of the Universe", because it was "of the ultimate tenuity", homogenous, utterly motionless, and yes, "radical and cool", now that I'm given the words. The Poet also speaks of the motion (reawakening) of the Ring, symbol of the Universe, being the cause of existence.
So all this is very much in keeping with my thinking in the beginning, re quarks soup of science, the "churning of the Ocean of Milk", the Milky Way, the curds and lumps seeds of future worlds, star-stuff, the churning of milk to become lumpy buttermilk producing the eatable Quark, containing the building blocks of life as given before, a very effective muscle-builder, and delicious when flavor is added. As above so below.
Then I happened on the "Muons", unstable particles, which "there are several hundred muons going though your head every minute. Fortunately, their low energies (and high mass) mean they are harmless". Muuu see a cow walking.
We are Stardust and golden

Maybe the hundreds of unstable and harmless muons of low energy and high mass going through our heads every minute are fleeting and harmless/superficial thoughts, scientifically reading, the "quenched approximation" of non-quark model masons, the degree of mixing, and the precise assignment fraught with uncertainties." Masons are builders, perhaps they haven't yet been given a precise assignment by the observer because the collapse of the wavefunction is incomplete.
I was thinking about particle smashers of yore, the Mind/Nous of the Ancients such as built the Pyramids.

From my second note book, not to worry, I only have 2 of this legal pad type First two for the Republicans: "Of little worth is the recommandation which has for its prop the defamation of another". Tertullian "Development of the mind releases the individual from mob psychology". Manly P. Hall "The authority of the ruler, his capability of making the people obey him willingly is that he himself obeys the laws of Heaven". Confucius "A ruler is not protected by an army, but by the love of his people". Manly P. Hall "Sensations of the inner mind The pleasures far beyond, We dream above of space and time Arise to conquer all . . ." ? Quantum physics affirms that the observer/scientist changes the outcome of an experiment - even if the same scientist tests twice or more times". ? "It is man's knowledge of the arts and sciences that keeps order in the Universe". Hermes "Tell stories with an eye for the usefullness of it". A Greek Philosopher "The soul is the mirror of an indestructible Universe". Leibniz "The spirit of darkness is absolute light". Madam Blavatsky. Maybe "dark matter" which can't be seen because we don't see light but by it. It is said that Einstein had Madam's "Secret Doctrine" on his night stand, that Schrödinger read Vedantic Literature and the Upanishads, in which I found so much light that I read it to shreds. Upanishads = The Breath of the Eternal. "Professors are a dull crowd". Plutarch We have a saying in Germany: "tue das halt mal professorisch", do this first by trail and error. "Like an ass, ladden with his books , burdensome is the knowledge that is not from himself". Rumi "He who knoweth not himself, is poor in spirit, for he is in his own poverty". Jesus "Common sense is the power of the non-scholastic to direct and control a life". Manly P. Thoughts in progress
Writing on Zen Archery, these lines can be applied to an unobserved quantum entity, here Man, in a coherent superposition of all states permitted by his wave function, and one step beyond:
"This state, in which nothing definite is thought, planned, striven for, desired or expected, which aims in no particular direction and yet knows itself capable alike of the possible and impossible, so unswerving is its power—this state which is at bottom purposeless and egoless, was called by the Master truly "spiritual." It is in fact charged with spiritual awareness and is therefore also called "right presence of mind." This means that the mind or spirit is present everywhere, because it is nowhere attached to any particulr place."
This the spiritually charged step beyond state, steeped in awe and wonder unaware, spacing out we say, we know we space out by "finding ourselves" back in the phenomenal world in which we have to function. Having come to, we are in the coherent superposition of all states permitted as far as we can see, contemplate several things we know nothing about, "airy nothings", but want to know more of. The moment we choose one, all other choices are no more, the wave function has collapsed, and simultaneously with the one thing we chose to "measure", give form, name and habitation, references present in Mind rush to aid our inquiry and understanding and we have an Image/Gestalt. It might be interesting that in German language a "Stall" is a barn of sorts, in which animals are stalled, so the result of our inquiry is that we stalled the Image we came up with and like best. Gestalten is our Geistes creative undertaking.
In quantum mechanics the references are particles that combine and recombine to form patterns we see, albeit it is not called a 'pattern' as far as I know.

Once upon a time, when I read much of what Madam Blvatsky had to say, I noted on page 329 of The Secret Doctrine I, 'Qu Physics at its finest'. (A Manvantara is a span of time) "Manvantaric impulse commences with the re-awakening of Cosmic Ideation (the "Universal Mind") concurrently with, and parallel to the primary emergence of Cosmic Substance—the later being the manvantaric vehicle of the former—from its undifferantiated pralayic[i/] state. Then absolute wisdom mirrors itself in its Ideation; which, by a transendental process, superior to and incomprehensible by human Consciousness, results in Cosmic Energy (Fohat). Thrilling to the bosom of inert Substance, Fohat[i/] impells it to activity, and gudes its primary differentiation on all Seven planes of Cosmic Consciousness."
There are Seven Days of Creation. 'All things come in Sevens' was my ending and conclusive thought via one of those self-working "thought trains" moving through my Mind while driving. Amazing how this works independent of paying attention to traffic etc. "Fohat", says the Lady, is hard to explain, I think it can be gleaned by a "fohatic sneeze" when looking at the Sun. Sneezing, scientific research recently defined as if "resetting the computer", the same explanation in different words by the Mystic Hildegard von Bingen, viz., our body, overcome by fumes, toxins and whatnot, shakes itself violently, resetting its equilibrium, is why we say Gesundheit We also cling to the 'superstition' that when, in the process of making a statement we feel a zneeze coming on, and having so stated we immediately sneeze = confirming the Trueness of what we just said, but at once laugh it off, because Allmighty Science has disabused us of all such and other 'nonsense' even though we apprehend the phenomenal World by our senses, and looking at the paragraph in the greater picture, all belongs, can be combined and is true.
As many times I wandered from the main subject, first off to the Farmers Market.

I like the fohatic sneeze annotation in that the Sun resets our physical body. Philosophy teaches that "behind" the physical Sun is the spiritual Son who resets our lives.
Last evening on the Book Review Channel, a Scientist, name?, answered a question on Schrödinger's cat conundrum, saying the latest thought on it is that the Universe splits, that the dead cat might be in one half and the living in the other, and joked that Elvis might be alive in the other half, that the possibility can't be discounted, but they really don't know. Can there really even be such a bizarre thought as the Universe splitting?
As in the greater, Madam's reawakening Cosmic Ideation, the Universal Mind, concurrent with and parallel to the primary emergence of Cosmic Substance, so in the lesser Human Ideation, reawakening to an Idea or our Ideal and concurrently formulating our exsitence, as QM states that what we observe 'matters'.
Madam Blavatsky:
"Cosmic Ideation is said to be non-existent during Pralyic periods, for the simple reason that there is no one, and nothing, to perceive its effects. There can be no manifestation of Consciousness, semi-consciousness, or even "unconscious purposiveness," except through the vehicle of matter; that is to say, on this our plane, wherein human consciousness in its normal state cannot soar beyond what is known as transendental metaphysics, it is only through some molecular aggregation or fabric that Spirit wells up in a stream of individual or sub-conscious subjectivity. And as Matter existing apart from perception is a mere abstraction, both of these aspects of the ABSOLUTE—Cosmic Substance and Cosmic Ideation—are mutually inter-dependent. I strict accuracy, to avoid confusion and misconception—the term "Matter" ought to be apllied to the aggregate of objects of possible perception, and "Substance" to noumena; for inasmuch as the phenomena of our plane are the creation of the perceiving Ego—the modification of its own subjectivity—all the "states of matter representing the aggregate of perceived objects" can have but a relative and purely phenomenal existence for the children of our plane. As the modern Idealist would say, the co-operation of Subject and Object results in the Sense-object or phenomenon."
Removed some italic brackets.

Leave it to Science
I remembered reading the article treating of the "Conference on Consciousness", held in 1994 in Tucson, Arizona, in the Scientific American, the quest being to "crack consciousness", and thought: how can an unconscious Person even be on any quest. The youg German scintist Chrisof Koch, who had not yet grown a beard, -to match his arrogance, as well as Francis Crick, thought it, and the Mind was "a topic for seroius scientific investigation".
Herr Koch and the Philosopher David Chalmers debated the problem of consciousness over a cocktail, during which Koch told Chalmers that his, Chalmers, "theory of consciousness was untestable and therefore useless."
In typical German fashion, Koch mocked Chalmers: "Why don't you just say that when you have a brain the Holy Ghost comes down and makes you conscious!" Chalmers "responded dryly" that "such a theory was unneccesarely complicated, and would not accord with his own subjective experience." Koch's run-of-the-mill question: "But how do I know that your subjective experience is the same as mine?" - How do I even know you're conscious?" Defies comment.
Thing is, the German "Holy Ghost" is the "Holy Spirit", which has not come down into Koch's brain to make him conscious that he is conscious because his 40-hertz brain waves are too thick.

Of course, that was 20 years ago. Perhaps with the predicted "Revolution in Consciousness", facilitated by philosophical Scholarship, among them Scientists, Francis Crick and Kristof Koch were hard-pressed to come along. Consciousness was always a part of the Wisdom of the Ancients, but how many People are there in this brave New World, I mean Humanity entire, busy with making ends meet, who give thought to what Consciousness is.
"A group of scientists attended the "Francis Crick Memorial Conference on Consciousness" in human and non-human animals. The declaration was signed in the presence of Stephen Hawking, Christof Koch, David Edelman - and many others.
"The field of Consciousness research is rapidly evolving. Abundant new techniques and strategies for human and non-human animal research have been developed. Consequently, more data is becoming redily available, and this calls for a periodic reevaluation of previously held preconceptions in this field."
Investigating Consciousness with new "techniques and stradegies", the international group of Scientist "proclaiming their support for the idea that animals are conscious and aware to the degree that humans are - a list of animals that include all mammels, birds, and even the octopus."
The Wisdom Tradition teaches, that each species is conscious according to their own Nature, so a bit overboard. From my experience of looking into the eyes of an animal, I marvel at the Consciousness of the animal looking at me, but think it is instantaneously reciprocal, the animal discerning me via its Conciousness and vis-a-vis, allowing for communication.

In his book "A Brief History of Time", I vaguely remember Mr. Hawking saying something like 'if we knew this and the other, we would know the Mind of God'. I once wrote Mr. Hawking to answer his question "what came first, the egg or the chicken", saying the egg came first because it can aggregate via necessary elements, but didn't receive an answer My thinking was and is that everything in the Uni is conscious accordingt to its Nature and ss consciousness was tranferred to the chicken, scanty as we see it. "Why do subatomic particles move the way they do?" "What are subatomic particles?" "Good question!" But Sheldon evades it. Since the subatomic realm per se is invisible, as is our Mind/Soul/Nous, the brain being an instrument, so again, I can only get some understanding by a parallel in our visible atomic/molecular world, and as it, all the subatomic realm is a stage and particles are the players. Having my own agenda, in search of, I a particle, sit here unobserved by any human being, but whoever reads this, is interested in the subject, or has affinity with my thinking, "feel where I'm coming from", and there is a sympathetic attraction. By the same token, people who reject my thinking as unfounded don't bother reading this stuff. The law of attraction and repulsion can be easily seen with people, the heavely bodies, but not in the subatomic. Necessity also comes into play, for instance, when my neighbor has something to communicate, he will ring my bell and I'm no longer unoberved. When we go out I see many people, we pass each other like ships in the night, we sense a happy spirit, nod and smile at each other, sometimes arises an occasion to stop and have a short conversation, but when we have much in common we talk for some time and perhaps agree to meet again. Of course, sometimes we argue about things in which we can either be bunkers or debunkers of a concept. Could be a good show if they lost some of the sleaziness and turn off gross remarks.

A Psalm of Life
Tell me not, in mournful numbers, Life is but an empty dream! For the soul is dead that slumbers, And things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest! And the grave is not the goal; Dust thou art, to dust retunest, Was not spoken of the soul.
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow, Is our destined end or way; But to act, that each to-morrow Find us farther than today.
Art is long, and Time is fleeting, And our hearts, though, stout and brave, Still, like muffled drums, are beating Funerat marches to the grave.
In the world's broad fielf of battle, in the bivouac of Life, Be not like dumb, driven cattle! Be a hero in the strife!
Trust no future, howe'er pleasant! Let the dead Past bury its dead! Act!,—act in the living present! Heart within, and God o'erhead!
Lives of great men all remind us We can make our lives sublime, And, departing, leave behind us Footprints on the sands of time;
Footprints, that perhaps another, Sailing o'er life's solemn main, A forlorn and shipwrecked brother, Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us, then, be up and doing, With a heart for any fate; Still achieving, still pursuing, Learn to labor and to wait.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The Uncertainty Principle made comprehensible.
Exerpts from The Reflexive Universe by Arthur M. Young.
Heisenberg "pointed out that for the presumption of predictabilty to be carried out, it is necessary to observe the position and momentum of this tiny particle. But to observe it we must throw light on it—right? But the wavelenght of ordinary light - is a million times greater than the diameter of the partice you are observing, so it won't provide any accuracy." If we "use a shorter-wavelength light 9x-rays)", which "is in the form photons which carry enormous energy, their impact upon the particle will knock it out of the picture.
"For however we vary our probe, the uncertainty is the same; we can measure position with accuracy only at the expence of disturbing the momentum, and we can measure momentum only at the expence of disturbing the position, the product of the two uncetainties is a constant."
In people as particles terms, when I meet you on the road, I can observe that you are walking but could not pin-point your position because your moving.
"Another attribute of these fundamental particles, protons and electrons, is that they have no identity. It is impossible to know whether an electron leaving an atom is the "same" electron as the one which entered it. In order to carry on with this task of science, the physicists have to give up attempting to deal with individual particles."
In the subatomic realm, particles are all in the boat together, interacting, as people are in the atomic world, but the worlds are interdependent in the ocean of space.
"Implicit in this dilemma is an important philosophical principle; the observer can know the universe only by interacting with it, and this interaction requires more energy as the accuracy of observation increases, A remarkable finding, for it makes zero as unattainable as infinity.
"I will not dwell on this here except to stress that our story has a moral: the world of fundamental particles is quite different from that of predictable billiard balls. From the point of view of predictabilty, it is like that of human beings. Its creatures have a life of their own. Predictability here is similar to that of insurance tables, Gallup polls, and market surveys: it does not apply to individuals. The individual particle does not obey laws."

The way I understand "the individual particle does not obey laws", as per qm, the individual particle together with others appear when the observer needs an answer, information based theory, therefore the Universe dependent on Observer relationship, both alive and conscious, the omnipresent Universal Mind "hearing" the question of the Observer, and a relationship is at hand.
"Relative size has enabled mankind to feel that his consciousness is body-confined or cell-confined, as the case may be. This concept of the ghost chained within the human machine is a total mistake. Although the flow of interacting forces may be more complex, still the concept of an expanding consciousness, simultaneous with an expanding universe, must be reckoned with if man will correctly master his affairs." (Philosophy)
This agrees with my thinking that the Universe expands proportionally to our expanding consciousness, individually and collectively, the "red shift" of science which does not see it this way, even though it acknowledges an Observer dependent Universe.
Another excerpt from Arthur M. Young's book.
The fall into determinism
"Why is this important? Because here in science we discover that the evolution of matter itself is a "fall." By fall we mean loss of freedom, increase of constraint. This occurs in steps: first the condensing of the original energy of the photon into mass to form a charged particle, then the joining of opposite charges to constitute a neutral atom, then of atoms to form molecules, and finally the compaction of molecules into inert objects. In this declension the original freedom is lost: the free motion of one particle is canceled by the free motion of another, so that where billions of particles are compacted, there results an inert object, which, having no self motion, responds to exact laws.
"It is these inert objects that are the basis for the so-called universal laws. It is these objects and only these that do not move unless pushed.
"We must therefore interpret the generation of matter—of the universe itself—as a fall into determinism."
Beyond determinism
"But this is not the end of the story. There are higher forms of organization. Not all molecules are compacted into inert objects. There are some which are organized into living creatures: plants, animals, human beings. Can we read these higher forms as an ascent—a "return"—to freedom?"
Saint Andrew of Crete: "Listen O heaven, and I will speak. O earth, hear the cry of one returning to God and singing His praises."

Post by Charlotte on Apr 8, 2014 8:07:17 GMT -5
Answering his question in the last post: "Can we read these higher forms as an ascent—a "return"—to freedom?" Mr. Young continues:
I believe we can, and will introduce thi image of an "arc" (a V shape) as a basic postulate. It is one of the concepts I will use in the theory I am setting forth. I could also say that I found it born out , for in examining the kingdoms it becomes evident to me that there was a fall followed by an ascent: the first and final kingdoms being most free and the ones in the middle the most determined.
"It is almost self-evident that this should be the case, for process, as the dictionary defines it, consists of steps taken to reach an end "as in the process of making steel." Therefore any process projects a goal and goes through the means to attain it. Such means are necessarily determinate or predictable. If our presumed means do not function as we expect, we find other ways to achieve the end.
"The reader might ask if the increase in detrminism which science has discovered in the generation of matter is properly interpreted as a fall of the same kind as decribed in myth."
Citing the Egyptian myth of Osiris, Isis, Set, and Horus, the River Nile the flow of time, the pieces of Osiris "strewn in the marsh", all over creation.
"This myth, with its description of increasing constraint, first by the coffin and then by the enclosing tamarisk tree, present the fall in terms of loss and freedom. The next stage, the dismemberment of Osiris into pieces, involving total loss of any possible initiative or self-motion, represents a state of complete inertness or determininsm.
"The reader may object that the story of Osiris, like the third chapter in Genesis, refers to the fall of man, not to the generation of matter. But I insist that both myths nevertheless describe process and its necessary descent into meansto attain its end. The advanced stages of organization which constitute must have determinate matter to work with: Osiris must be dismembered in order that Horus may be born. This is the universal pattern of process, experience, development."
I remember reading about the Penrose-Hawking return to singularity, checked this morning but could not find it, instead:
"Hawking's singularity theorum is for the whole universe, and works backwards-in-time: in Hawking's original formulation, it guaranteed that the Big Bang has infinite density. Hawking later revised his position in A Brief History of Time (1988) where he stated that "there was in fact no singularity at the beginning of the universe".
My thinking as far as this "scientific" explanation, is that the original formulation is closer minus the guarantee, and how can there not be a singularity before it "banged" and infinate density ensued.
The Poet agrees with Mr. Young
"We shall not cease from exploration And the end of all our exploring We will arrive where we started And see the place for the first time. Through the unknown, remembered gate When the last of earth left to discover It that which was in the beginning; At the source of the longest river The voice of the hidden waterfall And the children in the apple-tree Not known, because not looked for But heard, half-heard, in stillness Between two waves of the sea.

So this V shape of Mr. Young, beginning top left with 1.Light, one down, 2. Nuclear Particles, next down, 3. Atoms; where the lines of the V meet at the bottom, 4. Determinate Matter. Going up on the right line of the V, 5. Plants, next step up, 6. Animals, next up and ending in the tip of an arrow, 7 ?.
"Hawking's singularity theorum is for the whole universe, and works backwards-in-time."
I don't believe in the Big Bang, rather, agree with the Poet that the "Ring in its repose is Unity and Being", singularity, "Causation and Existence are the motion therof", seen in the graceful motion of our Galaxy. Planets also turn and we sing lest the heavier blasts of Life knock us to the ground.
Mr. Young puts a ? at the 7th because we're not there yet, the beginning and ending of the V: Light, as Marie Bauer Hall once told me that "all matter must be spiritualized", the purpose and Goal of the Orthodox Church, in different words.
The first fiat of Creation being Light, in Religious, Philosophical, and Scientific systems, and Poetry. During a conversation with a Muslim in Cairo, he said: "I come from the Light". So why this furious turning of the fan-in-the-attic (head) of Creationists and Evolutionists? Either categorically rejects the other to the point of the irrational, instead of harmonizing both. Pioneers throughout the ages have done this and advanced our upward climb, more recent Mr. Young, a Scientist spending many years under the Bodhi Tree who lectured at Mr. Hall's Society among many great Scholars.
Since we partake in the involution of Spirit and the evolution of matter, in due time all dark matter will be dispersed by photons and all ignorance by understanding leading to Wisdom. How does this "spiritualizing of all matter" happen? To regenerate the mineral kingdom, the vegetable kingdom takes its nourishment from and is superior to it inasmuch it secrets a substance which dissolves a stone, eventually dissolving the mineral kingdom. The animal kingdom eats up the vegetable kingdom, the highest animal being Man who strives for the 7th, Light. In this unimaginable long process, every time we jump for Joy in having understood something and Light floods the Mind, all lower kingdoms take a general raise toward spiritualizing all matter. How could we BE, Sprit- and -Soulless?

Had to laugh at my saying 'how can there not be a singularity before it "banged" and infinite density ensued', compareable with leaving the dream state in the womb, and being born into this dimension we need a slap on the behind, we cry and struggle in infinite density, can't open our eyes and sleep much in the beginning to make transition from the safe singularity in the womb, so to speak, until we can somewhat cope and open our eyes, and by the by acquaint ourselves with this World. As we grow, Philosophy would have us "reaccept" our mission and purpose in life by "recollecting" experiences from former lives, refine them with added understanding, store all in our Granary until next time, and repeat the process because, they say, that all Life strives for perfection. Makes sense then why so many say that we suffer from Amnesia.
It takes two to Tango
"In quantum physics, entangled particles remain connected so that actions performed on one affect the other, even when seperated by great distances", known as the "spooky action" phenomena. In Human/units of energy/particles, I think of it so: what entangled the particles in the first place? Since particles and we function by attraction and repulsion, attraction must be the reason for entanglement, Minds who think alike, but it is also said that opposites attract, could be male and female, or to fight it out.
Considering the last lines of the first paragraph, and particles being very "old", they don't die but appear and disappear, maybe particles and Humans have become entangled a long time ago and cross paths again because of unfinished business, hence we talk about "Soul Mates", what is done to one affects the other even at great distances. That could be true with particles also, beause each particle has a partner particle as in the electron and positron, negative and positive properties also in us in one unit, the singularity.
"Wormholes and Quantum Entanglement May Be linked". I think of wormholes as "tunnels" through space and time, telepathy, but strict science has disabused the many of such a 'notion' with the word coincidence.
Just heard a heartwarming song

For the time being, a few more words on the parallel of us People and particles. Other than Don, Daz, and now Mr. O'Neil, who appear now and then to communicate their thoughts, I don't know Guests who read this stuff, but they exist and have their own agenda, just like particles. Guests or particles are somewhat interested, akin to gathering around a Person talking, say, a parking lot, where other people are already gathered. All are strangers but curious of what's happening over there, and a group forms. Subatomic particles, compelled by the Observer's interests, cluster to form atoms and molecules and a pattern manifests.
As is the case at times, the speaker promotes a product, the people are sceptical but listen, some like what they see and take a chance on trying the product, others just walk away. The event over, everyone goes about their own business, and particles disappear in space. Neither people nor particles know where each other are, but we know we're all in the same boat floating with particles in the Sea of Space, interacting and interdependent, perhaps meeting again by a fiat of circumstances.

Thanks Don Tho' not directly related, I read these lines by WS last evening, intimating we have to grow together as a collective, the last line especially meaningful, and thought to post them: Is thine own heart to shineown face affected? Can thy right hand seize love upon thy left? Then woo thyself, be of thyself rejected, Steal thine own freedom, and complain on theft. Narcissus so himself forsook, And died to kiss his shadow in the brook. Torches are made to light, jewels to wear, Dainties to taste, fresh beauty for the use, Herbs for their smell, and sappy plants to bear; Things growing to themselves are growth's abuse: Seeds spring from seeds, and beauty breedeth beauty; Thou wast begot; to get it is thy duty.

Hi Don, don't know myself why I hold most everything I read of such information in suspension, especially as concerns "Shakespeare (who) has been studied to death", says the writer. Now I agree in the sense it is meant, have read commentaries from the sublime to the absurd. In my Shakespearean Universe, the more I read the more He is alive, at times face to face with me, speaking directly to me. I say "read", not study, because this greatest of all Poets himself imparts Knowledge and Wisdom in many dimensions simultaneously to the zenith of the Readers apprehension tempting the leap to comprehension thereby fludding the Mind with light. Awesome! I am not one of those who "assume that Shakespeare was capable of nothing less than perfection", experiencing the above many times, I know. Thanks

Speaking of Shakespeare whose date of birth is unknown, it is written that he died April 23, 1616, 398 years ago today. Miguel de Cervantes date of death also April 23, 1616, some write April 22, 1616. Just a reminder of two glorious Souls. Peace be upon them.

Searching, at times, I accidentally come across morsels I like:
"Moreover, when photons "travel" faster than the speed of light, knowing that "moving" light is "standing" electrons, understand that light is the mediator between electrons and Phi, as I have before mentioned in other files. Electrons that produce Phi based superluminal results should not infer that anything is traveling. What it should suggest is that the Other Side is totally coherent, , whole and unified, meaning that there is no need to "travel" anywhere and neither does light travel. There simply is no "time" in the Other Side / Phi pilot wave, but there should be anti-time. This Side / Other Side acts like the Pumped Phase Conjugate Mirror of science (PPCM) with the Mediator (light) in the middle."
Ananda, Aton Institute, Norway Copyright Robert Grace
... neither does light travel ... concurring with "the nature of light", of the Saints, "spreadeth over all without lying down . . ." I also like "anti-time", otherwise we could not speak of time.

THOU art the star for which all evening waits-- O star of peace, come tenderly and soon Nor heed the drowsy and enchanted moon, Who dreams in silver at the eastern gates Ere yet she brim with light the blue estate Abandoned by the eagles of the noon. But shine thou swiftly on the darkling dune And woodlands where the twilight hesitates.
Above that wide and ruby lake to-West, Wherein the sunset waits reluctantly, Stir silently the purple wings of Night. She stands afar, upholding to her breast, As mighty murmurs reach her from the sea, Thy lone and everlasting rose of light.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Minneteppich_KGM.jpg?previous=yesThe Gold Guarding Griffins I have a Griffin made of soft red fabric over a chest containing my most precious possessions. Wikipedia "The griffin - is a legendary creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion; the head and wings of an eagle; and an eagle's talons as its front feet. Because the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle the king of birds, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. The griffin was also thought of as king of all creatures. Griffins are known for guarding treasure and priceless possessions. Adrienne Mayor , a classical folklorist, proposes that the griffin was an ancient misconception derived from the fossilized remains of the Protoceratops found in the gold mines in the Altai mountains in Scythia, in present day southeastern Kazakhstan, or in Mongolia. In antiquity it was a symbol of divine power and a guardian of the divine." The last sentence would imply that the Griffin had the power to guard sacred knowledge. Origin "A theory, postulated primarily by Adrienne Mayor, is that the griffin originated with ancient paleontological observations brought by long-distance traders to Europe along the Silk Road from the Gobi Desert in Mongolia, where white fossils of Protoceratops are naturally exposed against reddish ground. Such fossils, seen by ancient observers, may have been interpreted as evidence of a half-bird-half-beast. Over repeated retelling and drawing recopying its bony neck frill (which is rather fragile and may have been frequently broken or entirely weathered away) may become large mammal-type external ears, and its beak may be treated as evidence of part-bird nature and led to bird-type wings added." I don't understand how a bony neck frill could become/imagined a large mammal-type ear. A Protoceratops is a small horned Dinosaur with large ears. However I did read some time ago that birds evolved fro dragons and like creatures, not vis-à-vis. The Griffin is called a "beast", which I think of ugly and ill-intentioned, the Griffin I think of as purposefully fierce as mine is fashioned and ornamented with a golden arrow in his mouth, golden tail and claws.

It's remarkable how mythological hybrids have and hold their place throughout history, from ancient times to current films, and I don't mean films with grotesque mechanical creatures flying through the air bent on destroying everything. These might just be the now more frequently mentioned demons/enemies within ourselves 'projected' on 'the silver screen'. This applies also to quantum physics as to how we attract subatomic particles by thinking, upon which they gather and form a pattern, saying: is this what you were looking for or had imaged in by thought experimentation? This is true because when we are spontaneously catapulted out of this reality by a profound experience there is no thought, and that this so, we can tell when we 'come too' again.
The notion that Griffins are "an ancient misconception derived from the fossilized remains" of a small, horned dinosaur, is for Persons who look for everything in the "real world".
Creatures that fly are Heaven-bound. Griffins are special, winged creatures, depicted in slightly different form, woven into tapestries, sculptured, painted, on flags and Coat of Arms.
I omit Greek, Hebrew etc., words I don't have the letters for.
Wikipedia
Etymology
"The derivation of this word remains uncertain. It could be related to the Greek word - (grypos), meaning 'curved', or 'hooked'. Also, this could have been an Anatolian loan word, compare Akkadian karubu (winged creature), and similar to Cherub. A related Hebrew word is keruv.
Form
Most statues have bird-like talons, although in some older illustrations griffins have a lion's forelimbs; they generally have a lion's hindquarters. Its eagle's head is conventionally given prominent ears; these are sometimes described as the lion's ears, but are often elongated (more like a horse's), and are sometimes feathered."
From what I read, Griffins can probably hear well, in the case of horse's ears, maybe they were related to the equally fabulous Pegasus.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GriffinHistory"While griffins are most common in the art and lore of Ancient Greece, there is evidence of representations in Ancient Persia and Ancient Egyptian art dating back to before 3000 BC. In Egypt, a griffin can be seen in a cosmetic pallete from Hierakonpolis, known as the "Two Dog Palette", which is dated to ca. 3300-3100 BC. In Persia, griffins appeared on cylinder seals from Susa as early as 3000 BC. Griffin depictions appear in the Levant, Syria, and Anatolia in the Middle Bronze Age, dated at about 1950-1550 BC. Early depictions of griffins in Ancient Greek art are found in the 15th century BC frescoes in the Throne Room of the Bronze Age Palace of Knossos, as restored by Sir Arthur Evans. It continued being a favored decorative theme in Archaic and classical Greek art. "In central Asia the griffin appears about a thousand years after the Bronze Age Crete, in the 5th and 4th century BC, probably originating from the Achaemenid Persian Empire. The Achaemenids considered the griffin "a protector from evil, witchcraft and secret slander". The modern generalist calls it the lion-griffin, as for example, Robin Lane Fox, in Alexander the Great, 1973:31 and notes p. 506, who remarks a lion-griffin attacking a stag in a pebble mosaic Dartmouth College expedition greecefsp2009.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/dsc_0175.jpg at Pella, perhaps as an emblem of the kingdom of Macedon or a personal one of Alexander's successor Antipater. "The Pisa Griffin is a large bronze sculpture which has been in Pisa in Italy since the Middle Ages, though it is of Islamic origin. It is the largest bronze medieval Islamic sculpture known, at over three feet tall (42.5 inches, or 1.08mm.), and was probably created in the 11th century in Al-Andaluz (Islamic Spain). From about 1100 it was placed on a column on the roof of Pisa Cathedral until replaced by a replica in 1832; the original now in the Museo dell' Opera del Duomo (Cathedral Museum), Pisa. "In legend, griffins not only mated for life, but if either partner died, then the other would continue the rest of its life alone, never to search for a new mate. The griffin was thus mate. The griffin was thus made an emblem of the Church's opposition to remarriage. A Hippogriff is a legendary creature, supposedly the offspring of a griffin and a mare. Being a union of a terrestrial beast and an aerial bird, it was seen in Christendom to be a symbol of Jesus, who was both human and divine. As such it can be found sculpted on some churches. "According to Stephen Friar's New Dictionary of Heraldry, a griffin's claw was believed to have medicinal properties and one of its feathers could restore sight to the blind. Goblets fashioned from griffin claws (actually antelope horns) and griffin eggs (actually ostrich eggs) were highly prized in medieval European courts. "When it emerged as a major seafaring power in the Middle Ages and Renaissance, griffins commenced to be depicted as part of the Republic of Genoa's coat of arms, rearing at the sides of the shield bearing the Cross of St. Andrew." www.flagofarms.com/?genova-coatofarms The mosaic griffin in the link looks more like a gentle stag, having antlers.

Sorry, it is the Cross of St. George on the Coat of Arms of Genoa, not of St. Andrew.
"By the 12th century the appearance of the griffin was substantially fixed: "All its bodily members are like a lion's, but its wings and mask are like an eagle's."
Interesting, the Eagle's head a mask?
"In heraldry, the griffin's amalgamation of lion and eagle gains in courage and boldness, and it is always drawn to powerful fierce monsters. It is used to denote strength and military courage and leadership", adding the erect ears and feathered breast to the lion/eagle "indicate a combination of intelligence and strength."
Another interesting depiction: "In British heraldry, a male griffin is shown without wings, its body covered with tufts of formidable spikes, with a short tusk emerging from the forehead, as for a unicorn. The female griffin with wings is more commonly used.
In architectural decoration the griffin is usually represented as a four-footed beast with wings and the head of an eagle with horns, or with the head and beak of an eagle.
"The statues that mark the entrance to the City of London are sometimes mistaken for griffins, but are in fact (Tudor) dragons, the supporters of the city's arms. They are mostly distinguished from griffins by their membranous, rather than feathered, wings."
Also interesting, because the Tudor's and Company underpin or support all historical events and monuments in the "square mile" within greater London.
In Literature
"Flavius Philostratus mentioned them in The Life of Apollonius of Tyana:
"As to the gold which the griffins dig up, there are rocks which are spotted with drops of gold as with sparks, which this creature can quarry because the strength of its beak. "For these animals do exists in India" he said, "and are held in veneration as being sacred to the Sun; and the Indian artist, when they represent the Sun, yoke four of them abreast to draw the images; and in size and strength they resemble lions, but having this advantage over them that they have wings, they will attack them, and they get the better of elephants and of dragons. But they have no great power of flying, not more than have birds of short flight, for they are not winged as is proper with birds, but the palms of their feet are webbed with red membranes, such as they are able to revolve them, and make a flight or fight in the air; and the tiger alone is beyond their power of attack, because in swiftness it rivals the wind.
"And the griffins of the Indians and the ants of the Ethiopians, though they are dissimilar in form, yet, from what we hear, play similar parts; for in each country they are, according to the tales of the poets, the guardians of gold reefs of the two countries."
Philostratus' narrative tells of rocks with sparks of gold which griffins dig up owing to the strength of their beaks, reminiscent of the Egyptian Ibis searching for the best morsels in the mud. The unicorn comes up, its horn in a sense could be the one-pointed Mind.
