"Off to the Farmers Market" So what's wrong with Wall-Mart? Only joking. For the past months I've been purchasing veg/eggs/meat/bread/milk/fruit all organic and I feel a lot better inside. Daz No surprise then that you look a lot better outside

About this "dark matter" which "is real", that "something that "slowed down the expansion of universe when it was very young ..." Now that it is older, Science says that the Universe is "rapidly expanding".
Quantum theory states that the Universe is Observer dependent, interacts with the Observer which is Us, so now that our observational powers have increased dramatically due to technology, and the revolution in consciousness sheds light on dark matter, ignorance, or resistance, scientifically speaking, "when dark matter is annihilated it emits photons of a specific energy", which specific energy, then, depends on how conscious the individual Observer is, or a meeting of Minds of Observer's of varying degrees of consciousness.
According to all these features, it stands to reason that the Universe is rapidly expanding because we see more of it. Accordingly also, when the Universe was very young, there was no Observer. "And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep", until God said "Let there be Light", of which consciousness we partake, more or less.
Another interesting component of theoretical physics is it being referred to as "Gedanken experimet". A Gedanke is, of course, a Thought, in the German language experiemt is "versuchen". "Suchen" is to seek, "versuchen" is exploring what one seeks by trail and error, or as we say: can you do this or the other "halt professorish", the way Professors do it, though hidden behind this sort of uncomplimentary term is the idea of "oberflächlich" = casual, superficial. It is meant jokingly because the uneducated, employing common sense, can discern that some Professors don't know what they're talking about either.

Prattling along, action and reaction.
The Big Bang vs. the motion of the Ring in which resides Unity and Being during a night of Brahma, its motion is the cause of action and existance, to destort the words of the Poet somewhat.
"The third of Newton's law of motion of classical mechanics states tha forces always occur in pairs. This is related to the fact that a force results from the interaction of two objects. Every force ('action') on one object is accompanied by a reaction on another, of equal magnitude but opposite direction. The attribution of which of the forces is action or reaction is arbitrary. Each of these two forces can be considered the action, the other force is its associated reaction."
Lots of action and reactive thoughts as I'm writing. Not all action has a reaction of equal magnitude as for instance in the swinging of a pendulum in which reaction is a tiny bit less, and both peter out eventually. Or, when two people fight, one initiates action and the other might react with double force.
In quantum mechanics, particles are carrier of forces and come in pairs, the particle and its "phantom" companion, the electron's higher octave is the positrone, it jumps as per energy increase or decrease, and we know that us Humans, units of energy, have a negative and positive side, furthermore a physical form which phantom would be the Doppelgänger, and a spiritual nature, else we'd be soulless.
According to Newton, which of the forces is action and reaction is arbitrary, viz., "subject to individuall will or judgement, without restriction, pertaining to how the Observer likes to see and have things according to his references, believe system, disposition, and whatever else comes into play in our complex nature. And I mention again the quantum theory of the common sense old Old Wives construal passed on by my Mother: everyone makes it for himself as he likes it.
The childrens version of how the Universe came into being in terms of action and reaction. The Ring, once more compelled to motion, "first"action, aroused a space curiocity, something like "wait, wait a minute, something is moving, stop everything and let's look at what is happening here, the counterclockwise reaction forming a ring "outside" the original, and from then on it's action and reaction all the down.
Reminds me of a game children and adults play, ie placing an object to be celebrated in the centre, half of the participants holding hands and forming a ring, the other half gathering on the outside and doing the same, movement or dancing begins clockwise and counterclockwise accompanied by chanting or singing because we're so happy to be alive.

To my thinking, the most important part of the dance described is that we commemorate the birth and dawn of the Universe, the centre the so called Galactic Bulge "propagating protons", the clockwise movement, and "anti-protons", the counterclockwise movement. If it weren't stored in a mighty memory of Man the microcosm, why would we play such a game? How could it be thought or said? It is no secret in our days that we ARE the Inscrutable Mystery.

The rapidly expanding Universe
Articles I read on the website "Science in Society" are not of a complicated technical nature, perhaps for Society at large to understand.
"The idea is that there's much more mass out there than is visible to us, and the motions in the universe are determined by a balance—a tug of war—between the dark matter, which is gravitation, and dark energy, which has this kind of springy quality that's trying to make the universe fly apart."
So I'm thinking: we can't see energy but we can feel it, and see its effects objectively. In thought and the minutest action we perform is geared to finding our origin, every jot and tittle has to be accounted for, every speck of starduat reassembled, which requires energy to look deeper and "harder" to expand our horizon, "this kind of springy quality that's trying to make the universe fly apart", whereas "dark matter, which is gravitation" is ignorance, not knowing. Hence, dark matter "must be some other thing that doesn't scatter light".
"We're pretty sure that dark matter is not made of ordinary stuff, like neutron and protons and electrons—the things that make up the physical world we can see. It must be some other thing that doesn't scatter light, that doesn't interact with protons and neutrons. It turns out that particle physicists know about other things that are not ordinary matter, like neutrinos, for example, which have been in the news lately. Neutrinos are real, but they have no charge, they have almost no mass, they don't interact, they go through walls—they're a ghostly kind of particle. And they would be a good candidate for dark matter if they had a little more mass, but they don't. So it could be something like a neutrino, only more massive."
Ascribed to a subatomic particle, the word mass and massive is problematic, to me anyway, because the Mind is used to picturing something heavy.
Neutrinos come "most of all from the sun. They come straight through the earth at nearly the speed of light, all the time, day and night, in enormous numbers. About 100 trillion neutrinos pass through our bodies every second. -- We are awash in neutinos." Neutrino means the "small neutral one". Since they come from exploding stars and most of all from the sun by the trillions at nearly the speed of light, I think of them as nutritive as is the sun to us.

"It's really an exciting thing"
"Hoping to detect neutrinos in large numbers, scientists in Japan led an experiment 3,300 feet underground in a zink mine. Super-Kamiokande, or super-K as it is known, began operating in 1996. The detector consists of 50,000 tons of water in a domes tank whose walls are covered with 13,000 light sensors. The sensors detect the occansional blue flash (to faint for our eyes to see) made when a neutrino collides with an atom in the water and creates an electron. And by tracing the the exact path the electron traveled in the water, physicists could infer the source, in space, of the colliding neutrino. Most, they found, came from the sun. The measurements were sufficiently sensetive that Super-K could track the sun's path across the sky and, from nearly a mile below the surface of the earth, watch day turn into night. "It's really an exciting thing," says Janet Conrad, a physicist at the Massachusetts Institude of Technology. The particle tracks can be compiled to create "a beautiful image, the picture of the sun in neutrinos."
Marvelous, the sun's path could be tracked across the sky and from nearly a mile below the surface of the earth watch day turn into night, and "the picture of the sun in neutrinos". Even though the neutrino cannot be seen by our eyes, the occasional blue flash can be grasp 'as below', and watching day turn into night nearly a mile below the earth's surface has philosophical implications ala Plotinus, who said we could not see the sun if it wasn't in us, the microcosm, so it wouldn't make any difference whether it was day or night.
The picture of the sun in neutrinos affirms the Holographic Universe.

Wikipedia
"Neutrinos are created as a result of certain types of radioactive decay, or nuclear reactions such as those that take place in the Sun, in nuclear reactors, or when cosmic rays hit atoms. - All evidence suggests that neutrinos have mass but that their mass is tiny even by the standard of subatomic particles. Their mass has never been measured accurately."
Smithsonian, Science and Nature
"How much mass do neutrinos have? Tofind out, physicists are building KATRIN—the Karlsruhe Tritium Neutrino Experiment. KATRIN's business end boasts a 200-ton device called a spectrometer that will measure the mass of atoms before and after they decay radioactively—thereby revealing how much mass the neutrino carries off.
"Technicians built the spectrometer about 250 miles from Karlsruhe, Germany, where the experiment will operate; the device was too large for the region's narrow roads, so it was put on a boat on the Danube River and floated past Vienna, Budapest and Belgrade, into the Black Sea, through the Aegean and the Mediterranean, around Spain, through the English Channel, to Rotterdam and into the Rhine, then south to the river port of Leopoldshafen, Germany. There it was offloaded onto a truck and squeaked through town to its destination, two month and 5,600 miles later. It is scheduled to start collecting data in 2012."
I just had to convey this half around Europe journey for the sake of finding out how tiny the mass of a neutrino.

The Neutrino and Antineutrino
The particle and its phantom companion, though Scientists call neutrino itself is called a "ghost particle". 'As above so below', the anti particle is a "spiritual particle", if one is spiritually inclined. Reading between the lines.
Interesting also is that
"There are three types, or "flavors", of neutrinos: electron neutrinos, muon neutrinos and tau neutrinos. Each type is associated with an antiparticle, called an "antineutrino", which also has neutral electric charge and half-integer spin. Whether or not the neutrino and its corresponding antineutrino are identical particles has not yet been resolved, even though the antineutrino has an opposite chirality to the neutrino."
I understand "opposite chiraltity" better in these words: "The data the scientists have gathered complicates their picture of this infinitesimal world: it now appears that exotic forms of neutrinos, so-called anti-neutrinos, may not follow the same rules of oscillation as other neutrinos."
"What's cool,"says Conrad, "is that it's not what we expected."
"When it comes to neutrinos, very little is."
Since the "ghost particles" neutrinos have practically no mass, anti-neutrinos, their phantom companions, must have even less, I don't know, perhaps they are the so called spiritual particles and have a mind and life of their own, so to speak.
This mental journey began with dark matter and dark energy, that neutrinos, had they "a little more mass - would be a good candidate for dark matter", whereas I think they would be a good candidate for "dark energy", as they "are impossible to see and difficult to detect", that "to neutrinos, even stainless steel is mostly empty space, as wide open as a solar system is to a comet". Neutrinos "don't interact, they go through walls", "pass through our bodies" by the trillions, they "are coming through the planet from the north", and "most neutrinos zip through the 8,000-mile-wide planet as if it weren't there."
Sounds like a brother of the photon in blue, physicists set up "neutrino telescopes", consisting "of more than 5,000 blue-light sensors", remenbering also "the occasional blue flash when a neutrino collides with an atom".
The parallel below, brings the 1959 comedy film "Ein Mann geht durch die Wand" to Mind, adopted from the novel "The Man who could walk through Walls" by French author Marcel Ayme. Even though considered comical science fiction, one of the Tourist attractions in Paris is the statue of a Man who appears to be coming out of a wall. I haven't had time to read all and the latest on Neutrinos, probably have a melt down, and I hear the Poet calling.

The Quintessence of Science in Poetry From the beginning back to singularity Back to the Palm of the Hand.
Reality appeareth in forms to man's thought as several links interdependent of a chain that circling returneth upon itself, as doth the coil'd snake that in art figureth eternity.
From Universal Mind the first-born atoms draw their function, whose rich chemistry the plants transmute to make organic life, wheron animals feed to fashion sight and sense and give service to man, who sprung from them is conscient in his last degree of ministry unto God, the Universal Mind, whither all effect returneth whence it first began. The Ring in its repose is Unity and Being: Causation and Existence are the motion thereof. Thru'out all runneth Duty, and the conscience of it is thatt creativ faculty of the animal mind that, wakening to self-conscience of all Essences, closeth the full circle, where the spirit of man escaping from the bondage of physical Law re-entereth eternity by the vision of God.

Prometheus, or the Poet's Forethought
Of Prometheus, how undaunted On Olympus' shining bastians His audacious foot he planted, Myths are told and songs are chanted, Full of promptings and suggestions.
Beautiful is the tradition Of that flight through heavenly portals, The old classic superstition Of the theft and the transmission Of the fire of the Immortals.
First the deed of noble daring, Born of heavenward aspiration, Then the fire with mortals sharing, Then the vulture,--the despairing Cry of pain on crags Caucasian.
All is but a symbol painted Of the Poet, Prophet, Seer; Only those are crowned and sainted Who with grief have been acquaited, Making nations nobler, freer.
In their feverish exultations, In their triumph and their yearning, In their passionate pulsations, In their words among the nations, The Promethean fire is burning.
Shall it, then, be unavailing, All this toil for human culture? Through the cloud-rack, dark and trailing, Must they see above them sailing O'er life's barren crags the vulture?
Such a fate as this was Dante's, By defeat and exile maddened; Thus were Milton and Cervantes, Nature's priests and Corybantes, By affliction touched and saddened.
But the glories so transendent That around their memories cluster, And, on all their steps attendant, Make their darkened lives resplendent With such gleams of inward lustre!
All the melodies mysterious, Through the dreary darkness chanted; Thoughts in attitudes imperious, Voices soft, and deep, and serious, Words that whispered, songs that haunted!
All the soul in rapt suspension, All the quivering, palpitating Chords of life in utmost tension, With the fervor of invention, With the rapture of creating!
Ah, Prometheus! heaven-scaling! In such hours of exultation Even the faintest heart, unquailing, Might behold the vulture sailing Round the cloude crags Caucasian!
Though to all there is not given Strenght for such sublime endeavor, Thus to scale the walls of heaven, And to leaven with fiery leaven All the hearts of men forever;
Yet all bards, whose heart's unblighted Honor and believe the presage, Hold aloft their torches lighted, Gleaming through the realms benighted, As the onward bear their message!
Longfellow

In need of Poetry
Parnassus is beleaguered and distressed
At lenght, with manners gentle and polite, Mercurius, seeing my inspection end, (Herewith thy praise, O reader, I invite,)
Took seat by me, and to my ears did send His voice with reasons forcible and fair, Wherewith the sweetest harmony did blend,
And said to me: Mong matters that are rare And novel in this world, and strange to hear, Thou' It see, if thou dost note and mark with care,
That such a barque, as thou beholdest here, Hath highest claims the reverence to command Of all the wondering nations far and near.
It sprang to being by no wizard's hand, But by divine Apollo's wit supreme, Whose will and power achieved a work so grand:
He fashioned it that I, though strange it seem, Should bear therein as many poets great As dwell 'twixt Tagus and Pactolus' stream.
Malta's grand master, who had heard of late, From secret spies, that hordes of Eastern bands Sharpen their barbarous shafts for onslaught great,
In fear had summoned from the neighbouring lands The Knights that bear the white cross on their breasts To gain the confidence such force commands;
Like him, Apollo now had given behest, All famous seers shall to Pernassus hie, Which stands this day beleaguered and distressed.

The recently discovered "duons" of Science "Since the genetic code was deciphered in the 1960s, scientists have assumed that it was used exclusively to write information about proteins. UW scientists were stunned to discover that genomes use the genetic code to write to seperate languages. One describes how proteins are made, and the other instructs the cell on how genes are controlled. One language is written on top of the other, which is why the second language remained hidden for so long. - These new findings highlight that DNA is an incredibly powerful information storage device, which nature has fully exploited in unexpected ways." Even more interesting: "The genetic code uses a 64-letter alphabet called codons. The UW team discovered that some codons, which they call duons, can have two meanings, one related to proton sequence, and one related to gene control. These two meanings seem to have evolved in concert with each other. The gene control instructions appear to help stabilize certain beneficial features of proteins and how they are made." Philosophy teaches that all things have two basic meanings from day one or neither could be defined. Reminds one also of the 64 Hexagrams of the I Ching, the Book of Changes. www.washington.edu/news/2013/12/12/scientists-discover-double-meaning-in-genetic-code/

Found a 4 word note from years ago yesterday, "dark magnetic space awareness", and thought if this could be what Scientists call "dark matter", which slowed down the expansion of the Universe when it was very young. Magnetism rather than matter could do this.

My thoughts on this "dark magnetic space awareness".
The Poet:
The Ring in its repose is Unity and Being; Causation and Existence are the motion thereof.
As I stated before, I believe that our Universe commenced in a circular motion rather than a big bang.
" . . . and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light, - and God divided the light from the darkness."
The light impelled the Ring to move within the dark of the deep causing a resistance due to space being aware. Save that Divine World without duality, worlds operate by action and reaction, attraction and repulsion, whether in the invisible quantum realm of particles or the visible world of us People, who function in the same way as the former: we act and react, have a sympathetic attraction to some People and avoid others like ships passing in the darkness.
So it could be said that this first resistance to the Ring's motion by the first fiat of Creation, Light, is the archetype of "Debunkers" in the deep dark, who, however are magnetically attracted to the Light justified by curiosity, but really for want of enlightenment, because they too, in their Heart of Hearts yearn for Immortality.

The mystical Poet Henry Vaughan, twin brother of Thomas, affirms that during brighter dreams we peep into a glorious world.
Beyond The Veil
They are all gone into the world of light! And I alone sit ling'ring here; Their very memory is fair and bright, And my sad thoughts doth clear.
It glows and glitters in my cloudy breast, Like stars upon some gloomy grove, Or those faint beams in which this hill is drest After the sun's remove.
I see them walking in an air of glory, Whose light doth trample on my days: My days, which are at best but dull and hoary, Mere glimmering and decays.
O holy Hope and high Humility, High as the heaven above! These are your walks, and you have show'd them me, To kindle my cold Love.
Dear, bautious Death! the jewel of the Just, Shining nowhere, but in the dark; What mysteries do lie beyond thy dust, Could man outlook the mark!
He that hath found some fledg'd bird's nest may know, At first sight, if the bird be flown; But what fair well or grove he sings in now, That is to him unknown.
And yet as Angels in some brighter dreams Call to the soul, when men doth sleep: So some strange thoughts transcend our wonted themes, And into glory peep.
If a star were confin'd into a tomb, Her captive flames must needs burn there; But when the hand that lock'd her up gives room, She'll shine through all the sphere.
O Father of eternal life, and all Created glories under Thee! Resume thy spirit from this world of thrall Into true liberty.
Either disperse this mists, which blot and fill My perspective still as they pass: Or else remove me hence onto that hill, Where I shall need no glass.

Had to smile reading my words about "dark matter" being real, "that something that slowed down the expansion of the universe when it was very young", and now that it is older it is "rapidly expanding." Yesterday and this morning I refreshed my memory and looked for what's new in theoretical Physics, skimming over various theories and ignoring for the most part the specialized mechanics and mathematics as they seem to be addressed to Scientists with faculties I don't have. However, we can apply Occam's razor that a Hypothesis with the fewest assumptions should be selected. I love the simple and common sense which comes in Wisdom's dress.
Harkening to Marie B. Hall's "for everything we want to know there is a parallel in our lives", I thought and likened the young Universe to a new born Human, "seemingly" with a clean slate, although we at times observe it in a "dreamy" state, other times we see that "someone is in there", whom the dreamy condition slows down during a sort of "brooding" as it acclimates to this physical existence. When we're older, having learned many things and garnered many experiences, every time we add new information our understanding expands rapidly, and "dark matter" lessens proportionally, on the Authority of Shakespeare: "THE ONLY DARKNESS IS IGNORANCE".
Anyway, I said this before, but with Arthur M. Young "I have to go into my routine" before giving my opinion.

Quantum theory has observed and unobserved quantum entities/particles, position and momentum, coherence, decoherence, wave function, indeterminate states, psychic photons, tails etc., entangling the whole Universe.
Serving as starting point: an unobserved quantum entity is said to exist in a coherent superposition of all states permitted by its wave function.
Occam's Razor
A quantum entity is a unit of energy, for Physicists particles of no mass, varying or suspected mass in the invisible Quantum Realm. We are atomic/molecualr creatures of varying mass, so we can gain some insight of the invisible by observing the visible.
At this moment the Reader and I are in wave function mode, one writing, the other reading. This function will collapse as soon as the Reader or I decide to stop, in which case we are again in a coherent superposition of all states permitted, viz., sitting idle by the computer thinking what to do next. However, the thinking, an indeterminate state, is also a wave function, because when we determine what to do next, all other options we thought of collapse and we procede according to our decision. For Physicists it is the wave forced into the single state again, a particle, in an indeterminate state, hanging out in space until it is needed to explain/measure something, in which case it appears again smiling "at your service" - to give it life and consciousness. Steven Berger, who used to post here, said these marvelous and true words: Consciousness precedes form.
Yesterday I read and partially liked one view of the Copenhagen Interpretation "where the wave function collapses over an extended overlap region between "offer" and "confirmation" waves. As such, it makes the wave function dynamics that is nor actually specified by QM itself, and this is the reason I don't like this interpretation."
QM is not a "dry" reality as for this stickler, pardon me, but is dynamic. It stands to reason that there must be an "overlap region", Nature abhors a vacuum, between "offer", a wave, and "confirmation", a resolution upon which the "offer" collapses into a decision. For me, the decision is not a wave, but am all the way with Arthur M. Young: the decision collapes the wave function because it makes sense.
A better word than overlap might be avenue, as there is from the dream to the waking state, cause we take stuff from our daily life to the dream state and remember what we dreamed in the waking state.

Reading on QM I understand why Scientists must repeat certain observations from a different angle and different words to round a subject. Reminds me of Dr. S. Hoeller, Gnostic Bishop whose lectures at the PRS here in LA I attended for years, lecturing on dream symbology, where in dreams the same problem is communicated in differing symbology: "If you don't get it this way I'll show you another."
About the wave function of a particle, Dr. B. Fisher, also lecturing at the PRS, explained it best, something like this: when we, the observer think/measure about some thing we attract particles, units of energy, sympathetic to our thinking, creating a standing pattern for us to "look" at until we reach a conclusion (subjective) to our liking or disliking, at which time the standing pattern collapses, ergo, the standing pattern is the wave function of a particle, reiterated by:
The Information Theory of Quantum Physics, Gedanken Experiment
Since "none of the the so-called quantum logic system devised so far has proved very convincing", John A. Wheeler, theorethical Physicist, whose thoughts on the matter I read a decade or so ago, and liked:
"The most profound lesson on quantum mechanics, he remarks, is that physical phenomena are somehow defined by the questions we ask of them. This is in some sense a participatory universe," he says. The basis of reality may not be the qauntum, which despite its elusiveness is still a physical phenomenom but the bit, the answer to a yes-or-no question, which is the fundamental currency of computation and communication. Wheeler calls his Idea 'the it from bit.' Following Wheeler's lead, various theorists are trying to recast quantum physics in terms of information theory, which was developed 44 years ago to maximize the amount of information transmitted over communication channels."
John Wheeler:
:It from bit. Otherwise put, every "it"—every particle, every field of force, even the space-time continuum itself—derives its function, its meaning, its very existence entirely — even if in some context indirectly — from the apparatus-elicited answers to yes-or-no questions, binary choices, bits. "It from bit" symbolizes the idea that every item of the physical world has a bottom — a very deep bottom, in most instances — an immaterial source and explanation; that which we call reality arises in the last analysis from the posing of yer-or-no questions and the registering of equipment-evoked responses; in short, that all things phisical are information-theoretic in origin and that this is a participatory universe."
Love this:
"We are participators in bringin into being not only the near and here but the far away and long ago, We are in this sense, participators in bringing about something of the universe in the distant past and if we have one explanation for what's happening in the distant past why should we need more."
Hermes would say "everything else is repeating patterns", which can also be applied to the "standing pattern" wave function as we and other Folks think on the same things many times.

Thinking on Mr. Wheeler's "idea that every item of the physical world has a bottom — a very deep bottom, in most instances — an immaterial source and explanation; that which we call reality arises in the last analysis from the posing of yes-or-no questions..." Is this immaterial what we call Mind, or Thought to which we give form, but then again it is said that 'thought conceives the Thinker, which is true when you think about it. Mr. Wheeler's "very deep bottom, in most instances an immaterial source", could also be the un- and -subconscious, or super-conscious, or in the case of "bringing into being the far away and long ago", our individual or collective Memory, we are incredibly complex Creatures. "...reality arises in the last analysis from posing yes-or-no questions", agreeable with the Poet's "Reality appeareth in forms to man's thought", and the Church Elder Thaddeus "Our thoughts determine our Lives", uniting Science, Philosophy and Religion. There is "quantum decoherence is the loss of coherence or ordering of the phase of angles between the components of a system in a quantum superposition". Huh! Beautifully worded, that means we lost our coherent superposition, the state when we have It (no bits) all together, everything is organized momentarily, then we think of what to do next, the wave function kicks in and the all together falls apart and we must reorganize it again because Life waits for no Man and there is no rest for the wicked and we tell each other 'to go with the flow'. Though the same principle, particle physics describes it differently, but I lack further coherence

"A gain in information in the consciousness of the observer is balanced by the loss in the free energy of the system observed."
I suppose by "free energy" is meant undifferentiated energy, which the observer "uses" to inform, visualize a Gestalt, because our thinking is form-bound. Tricky to put in words, this balance of gain and loss: is the loss of energy regained and thereby balanced by the observer's increased understanding, akin to the conventional "everything is a trade-off?
Quantum decoherence is interesting, necessary, and knowable, as we seesaw between coherence and confusion.
Wikipedia
"Decoherence does not generate actual wave function collapse." The "office" of the wave function is to create a pattern of what we think about, deciding what it is we "see" collapses the wave function. Decoherence "only provides an explanation for the observance of wave function collapse, as the quantum nature of the system "leaks" into the invironment." The system as our coherent superposition sort of standing on a hill as we are fixed at the moment, undecided of what to do, looking about our thoughts "leak" into and are influenced by our invironment. "That is, components of the wavefunction are decoupled from the coherent system, and acquire phases from their immediate surroundings." And, "decoherence provides an explanation for the transition of the system to a mixture of states that seem to correspond to those states observers perceive." The "mixture of states" being all our thoughts forming the standing pattern facilitated by the wave function.
Another sentence I like:
"Moreover, our observation tells us that this mixture looks like a proper quantum ensemble in a measurement situation, as we observe that measurements lead to the "realization" of precisely one state in the "esemble."
And we are back in a coherent superposition, the quantum esemble is our complex Nature, above and below, and Man the measurer of all things.

Thinking on another example, since the loss of free energy is a gain in information in the consciousness of the observer, wouldn't that gain increase the "light" in our consciousness since consciousness is light as opposed to unconsciousness. A gain in consciousness would infuse matter with light such as 'light became enamored with matter and it shone'. That would have to do with the photon which endowed particles with mass according to Arthur Young. Religiosly speaking, 'all comes from the Father of Light who created everything out of nothing' since Light is no thing, the photon has no mass. In quantum mechanics, photons are "messenger particles". Quicksilver messenger Mercury. Furthermore, Marie B. Hall told me that all matter will be spiritualized by degree. As concerns our bodies, a flash of light, an 'aha', improves our health, 'happy people are healthy people'; delightful news will blot out a headache in a flash.
Arthur Young: "Light is not an objective thing that can be investigated as can an ordinary object. Even a tiny snow crystal, before it melts, can be photographed or seen by more than one person. But a photon, the ultimate unit of light, can be seen only once:[i/] its detection is its annihilation. Light is not seen, it is seeing. Even when a photon is partially annihilated, as in scattering of photons by electrons, what remains is not part of an old photon, but a new photon of lower frequency, going in a different direction."
"In quantum mechanics", writes JohnnyMcA, photons are indistinguishable particles, so in interaction, we cannot say if it is the same photon or if one photon is destroyed, and a new one created, since the look identical (for photons with the same energy)." Yes, for photons with the same energy, but what about when we don't see clearly and only partially annihilate a photon, in which case it is a photon with a lower frequency, agreeing with JohnnyMcA: "When dark matter is annihilated it emits photons of a specific energy."
Very interesting, this, we annihilate dark matter, all we're in the dark about, by an "aha", a momentary enlightenment, an undertsanding which never goes dark again, but is integrated in what we're already conscious of, and lights up again by association with another insight. So we annihilate photons, and we annihilate dark matter, proportionally, a give and take, the balance of energy in the system. In the greater the Universe, in the lesser our individual system/constitution, the parallel in our daily lives. Declares the Poet: "Our stability is but balance, and conduct lies in masterful administration of the unforeseen." The moral of the story, administered correctly, matter decreases and Light increases until we reach the Spritualized State.

Scientists say that they don't know what dark matter is, and joke "at least we have a name for it". Why, then, can it be said that "when dark matter is annihilated it emits photons of a specific energy?"
Schrödinger's Cat is alive and dead even before we open the box.
I also like the "Many-worlds interpretation", which in quantum mechanics "that asserts the objective reality of the universal wavefunction and denies the actuality of wavefunction collapse. Many-worlds implies that all possible alternatives histories and future are real, each representing an actual "world" (or "universe"). In lay terms, the hypothesis states there is a very large—perhaps infinite—number of universes, and everything that could possibly have happened in our past, but did not, has occurred in the past of some other universe or universes."
Keeping to our Universe, conscious and alive, or we wouldn't be, posed a "yes" or "no" question and decided on one, its wavefunction would collapse, it and we would chart a course accordingly. But before that could happen, taken the example in the lesser, Man the microcosm, it was in a coherent superposition of all possibilities available. Since we are participants in the cosmic drama, and philosophically speaking, it makes more sense to me that the Universal Mind adapts itself to our yes and no questions and musings in the same manner as Shakespeare, who embodied the Universal Mind, is said to be the Poet of the individual Mind, not various dead letter of the word interpretation by Scholars, or a consensus of what the Poet means to communicate.
As for Schrödingers Cat being alive in the box of all possible histories, we can open it, studdy those and hear it purr, and if we stumble on a truth it adds a second sort of glowing purr and begins to drool, as my cat Schlimpi did when she was ecstatic with happiness having found her way back to me after being lost for a week. I was no less happy that she was alive, as is our History. When we find the cat dead, that part of History is nonessential.
Mr. Wheeler's insight can be applied here as well: "We are participators in bringing into being not only the near and here but the far away and long ago, - bringing about something of the unniverse in the distant past..."

Schrödinger's Cat simplified
Wikipedia
"The quantum-mechanical "Schrödinger's cat" paradox according to the many-worlds interpretation. In this interpretation, every event is a branch point, the cat is both alive and dead, even before the box is opened, but the "alive" and "dead" cats are in different branches of the universe, both of which are real, but which do not interact with each other."
I'm not clear as to different "branches" of the Universe don't interact with each other, or the dead and alive cat don't interact with each other. Must be the latter because different branches on "the many-branched tree" of the "many-worlds" view interact with each other as does the Tree of Life itself, reflected in Man, the micro-universe.
"In many-worlds, the subjective appearance of wavefunction collapse is explained by the mechanism of quantum decoherence...", which is "the loss of coherence of the system in a superposition", superposition meaning when God is in His Heaven and all is right with the World, a peaceful moment, before we become scatter-brained again.
Wavefunction collapse is due to a decision we make, therefore subjective, unless we think about what to next, in which case it is a process called "objective reduction".
"Collapse is found "within" the evolution of the wavefunction, often by modifying the equation to introduce small amounts of non-linearity." Collapse evolves gradually as we add pro or cons.
"The fact that the collapes process, treated realistically is apparently superliminal and non-local is also considered a problem.
"GRW collapse theories have unique problems. In order to keep these theories from violationg the principle of the conservation of energy, the mathematics requires that any collapse be incomplete. Almost all of the wave function is contained at the one measurable (and measured) value, but there are one or more small "tails" where the function should intuitively equal but mathematically does not. It is not clear how to interpret these "tails." They might mean that a small bit of matter has collapsed elsewhere than the measurement indicates, that with very low probability an object might "jump" from one collapsed state to another, or something else entirely. All of these options seem counterintuitive."
How quaint, must be quantum-weirdness, I'm trying to imagine "a small bit of matter" collapsing, or an object jumping from one collapsed state to another. Can a collapsed object or a small bit of matter jump? These "tails" may be afterthoughts most of us have as to whether we made the right decision, thereby conserving a bit of energy.
Deserving attention is that the collapse process, "treated realistically is apparently superliminal", above and beyond the experimental range of normal consciousness.

As in the atomic so in the subatomic, all the worlds a stage and all the people/particles are the players. When no one observes us or a particle, we or it "subsist in an indeterminate state". We or it are/is withdrawn from our perception. No one knows where we are and no one knows where a particle is before observed or whither it goes once it has served its purpose. A particle is compelled to appear when needed to measure or figure something out, and we are compelled to appear when needed for an event. Then, both of us go home again and no one knows where we live or what is our agenda. Sometimes we or it get together with other people/particles, or rest our mass, unless we or it are/is a photon, which St. Ambrose said "it spreadeth over all without lying down."
"It must be emphasized that measurement does not mean only a process in which a physicist-observer takes part, but rather any interaction between classical and quantum objects regardless of any observer.
Because conservation of energy, "Divine Econony" for Philosophers, "requires that any collapse be incomplete", more "small tails" later.

Quark-gluon plasma/soup, die Brennsuppe of German memory. Memory = Erinnerung, that which we have preserved inwardly, the 'Er' brings it to our awareness. Ich erinnere mich = I go inward, to remember a thing. Man is the microcosm so knowledge can be preserved.
I touched upon this "burning soup" previously, but never followed up.
Science, excerpts
"The primordial soup of matter that existed only split seconds after the Big Bang is now getting recreated in the most powerful particle colliders in the world.
"Quarks are bound extraordinarily tightly together by gluons. However in the first ten-millionth of a second after the Big Bang, the universe was hot enough to keep quarks apart. The result would have been a hot dense mixture of quarks and gluons known as quarl-gluon plasma. (Lol, I let that stand)
"Such research could not only help shed light on exotic states of matter, but also on whether extra dimensions exist, a discovery that could help lead to a so-called "theory of everything," researchers say.
"The hearts of atoms that we are made of consist of protons and neutrons. These subatomic particles in turn, are made of buiding blocks known as quarks, which are glued together by particles aptly named gluons."
Have to go to the Farmers Market for foodons.

Continuation of yesterday's post.
Imagine "the first ten-millionth of a second after the Big Bang" 10 or 15 billion years ago, "when the universe was hot enough to keep quarks apart", the condition "would have been a hot dense mix of quarks and gluons . . . the primordial soup of matter." This is the German "Brennsuppe", burning soup.
When German people converse about this or other or tell what has happened, or is happening in their lives, and one or more participants don't believe what is told, or think it's a fib, they say, "meinst Du dass ich erst gestern auf der Brennsuppe dahergeschwommen bin?" - do you think it was only yesterday that I swam here on the Brennsuppe? Do you think I wouldn't notice, am stupid?
The phrase is used in reverse as well, "I sense that he didn't tell me the truth but think I know what he means, because I didn't swim hither on the primordial soup", meaning 'I'm of today's enlightened and scientific understanding, not those who believe in yesterday's urban legends'. Apparently, these people don't know of the quark-gluon plasma soup or they wouldn't phrase it thatt way.
Whence this German phrase I don't know, but its been around for a while because my Father used it when we made up stories. Whence the phrase really doesn't matter, some one learned or in some such proficient moment perceived the soup, coined the phrase for use in everyday situations and thereby keeping it alive.
Another interesting, maybe, association. In Deutschland, we have a dairy product called Quark, produced from cultured Buttermilck by a simple process, warm the Buttermilk, let rest to conjeal, line a sieve with a cheese-cloth, squeeze remaining liquid through clothe and you have Quark. The process is known for at least 1500 years, maybe he who invented this quark per-ceived the quark soup.
In the science article I read: "Quark-gluon plasmas are nearly perfect liquids, "the best liquids ever discovere"."
Now this eatable Quark contains gluton, amino acids, and proteins, the building blocks of Life, is a highly effective muscle builder and "invaluable to our well-being". In googling Quark in the German language, the first artile was titled: "Discover the secrets of the World", a sort of history on cows, but the title, together with all other things, had meaning for me.
Quark is a sort of cheese of very "chewable" texture, a little softer than the leather sole of a shoe, it is joked, and very bland. To give it flavor, vanilla sugar, juices, strawberries, apricots, blueberries etc., are added. Quark is very versatile and hundreds of dishes and cakes can be made with it.
In quantum mechanics, there are 6 types of Quarks known as flavors.
Another name for the eatable Quark is "curd". I remember Madam Blavatsky writing about curds in space in connection with elementary particles, atoms, when the Universe was formed.
What do the quarks, flavors and all else of scientific theory have to do with the eatable Quark of similar description and properties? Fetching things from mamy corners, and the very structure of language, a lot.
For everything mysterious we want to know, there is a parallel in our daily lives, complicated to harmonize, but has to be brought into our Lives or what is it for? Surely for Us, The Crown of Creation, and we have some place to go.

We say: this is a sound theory, quantum mechanics is a "sound" theory, or, that sounds right/wrong, which we "feel" when we hear it, but mostly doubt at once cause science is at odds with our natural abilities. I wrote this before, but it sheds light on quarks, curds, flavors, and other words used in physics and other disciplines, and in daily life, perceived as being worlds apart. Language, the gold mine of Socrates:
"The unlimited variety of sound was was discerned by some god, or perhaps some godlike man. You know the story that there was some such person in Egypt called Theuth. He it was who originally discerned the existence, in that unlimited variety, of the vowelsnot vowel in the singular but vowels in the pluraland then of other things which, though they could not be called articulate sounds, yet were noises of a kind. There were a number of them too, not just one, and as a third class he discriminated what we now call the mutes. Having done that, he divided up the noiseless ones or mutes until he got each one by itself, and did the same thing with the vowels and intermediate sounds; in the end he found a number of the things, and affixed to the whole collection, as to each single member of it, the name letter. It was because he realized that none of us could ever get to know one of the collection by itself, in isolation from all the rest, that he conceived of letter as a kind of bond of unity, uniting as it were all these sounds into one, and so he gave utterance to the expression art of letters, implaying that there was one art that dealt with the sounds."
Marie expressed it so: the Creative Word sounded and reverberated through the Universe, but sound is perishable and was/is stayed in Nature.

The last sentence of my previous post, viz., that sound is perishable therefore stayed in Nature, can be found in "The Secret Doctrine", Stanza III. "The vibration sweeps along, touching with its swift wing the whole universe and the germ that dwelleth in darkness: the darkness that breathes over the slumbering waters of life..." Superstrings? I saw this once in a tree. Objects which are appear solid are vibrational patters, noiseless to our hearing, but we once visited a "vibration room" of seemingly countless colors and shapes, in a Museum in Philadelphia, the deafening noise stressing the senses, and I couldn't tell whether it came from the colors or shapes.
"What you are looking at is looking at you". My Philosophy Teacher
What you are looking at is looking at you. Quantum mechanics, worded so by Madam Blavatsky:
"Maya or illusion is an element which enters into all finite things, for everything that exists has only a relative, not an absolute, reality, since the appearance which the hidden noumenon assumes for any observer depends on his power of cognition."
This is a better expression of particles appearing only when we need them to "figure out" something, measure. The power of cognition increases with understanding which widens our consciousness. Science says we don't know whence the particles or whither they go. Apparently, after they served their purpose, they rejoin the hidden noumenon, like a scouting bee rejoins the hive, the hive, working collectively with one mind, adjusting without loosing a hum. Of course, different bees and particles have differing jobs.
Madam: "A noumenon can become a phenomenon on any plane of existence only by manifesting on that plane through an appropriate basis or vehicle."
In a dream, I once gazed upon a mysterious pale blue "field", not a mix as we think of a mix, but homogeneous, changeless, tranquil, disturbed by nothing, admitting nothing, all conscious, it was Holy. It could be the noumena but it itself assumes no form, yet appeared to me in the form of wholeness. A mystery to me, but when I think about I can see it.
Madam: "Space is the one eternal thing that we can most easily imagine, immovable in its abstraction and uninfluenced by either the presence or absence in it of an objective Universe. It is without dimensions, in every sense, and self-existent. Spirit is the first differentiation from THAT, the causeless cause of both Spirit and Matter. It is, as taught in the esoteric catechism, neither limitless void, nor conditioned fulness, but both. It was and ever will be.
"Thus the "Robes" (of the eternal parent) stand for the noumenon of undifferentiated Cosmic Matter. It is not matter as we know it, but the spiritual essence of matter, and is co-eternal and even one with space in its abstract sense. Root-nature is also the source of the subtile invisible properties in invisible matter. It is the Soul, so to say, of the ONE infinite Spirit."
Science: "Researchers at RHIC and LHC are also now beginning to experimentally explore a mysterious state of matter that may exist before quark-gluon plasmas form, a dense mix of gluons known as "glasma."
Science needs Spirit and Soul
