Geez don , You didn't have to get so feverish over the 'Subject'. Don't kill yourself,man.... I've arrived late in the day, that is my 'Theme' song.... so I have no answers for you, but I am concerned about your feverishness manifesting! I hope you got things under control. Guiness xtra stout cures most ailments, and prevents them as well, Pmac should know about that trick! Take some medicine: Guiness! So, it may taste like your licking the bottom of the pot it's been brewed in since the 1700's, but it's good for ya! If you don't like it , that'll teach ya not to get ill again! BB, Ghia

Don, I second ghia, time to lay away your string and ruler for a few month before you burn out again. Maybe the answer will come by itself in a dream, really, when the mind lets go of the tension and when you least expected. Nobody can push the Nile.
What's the hurry anyway?

Hi Charlotte and ghia ... Not to worry. Feeling a little better today and still trying to figure it out. Here is a latest image trying to figure out what is north and what Petrie was measuring to. And a sneak peak at trying to account for the walls ... Haven't checked the math yet so let's not get too excited on this one. Cheers Don Barone

Hi all Still feeling like death warmed over but hopefully will be better soon. The whole family has caught this bug and it is a nasty one. Here is an image trying to explain graphically what I mean. Using Petrie's own measurements it seems it does not want to close in on itself since by his measurements 1411.25 (N-S) and 1417.25 (E-W) the baseline is indeed 2000 Royal Cubits for these two numbers squared and added together and then square rooted equals 2000. So we are left with this ... But it does not make sense how this can be. The angle has to be less than 45 degrees since the vertical is smaller than the horizontal distance according to Petrie and if this is so then the extension past P3 should be greater than 100.75 not less than. It just does not make sense. Anyway hopefully someone will see what I am doing wrong ... Best Don Barone

Don, I know you're into it, but you're obsessing, with all due respect, give it a rest for healthness sake CC

Hi Charlotte ... Really I am fine. Just have a nasty cough right now and staying away from Giza is not going to make that any better. Remember the tides ... Who knows when the next wave will come in so ride the crest as they say ... Cheers and I will get better Don Barone

Hi Don. Glad your feeling somewhat better.
I hope it works out this time as it certainly makes much more sense now. The 7.2 minutes is indeed a strange value, was it a deliberate mistake? I mean 7.2, 72, 720 is a bit of a coincidence.
All the best - Paul.

Hi Charlotte ... Really I am fine. Just have a nasty cough right now and staying away from Giza is not going to make that any better. I can't argue with that, glad you're only caughing and sniffeling and the fever and sniveling is gone. Just seized John Walls' tin hat, good thing at that, bare head so the mind can expand. Sorry, had to say it. Remember the tides ... Who knows when the next wave will come in so ride the crest as they say ... Ride on! Cheers and I will get better Thank God we don't have to feel sorry for you anymore Charlotte Don Barone
