Hi All:
I have a growing sense that not all persons on this board are who they appear to be. I will not name names [yet] but would be interested if any of you are getting bad vibes from any of our posters yourselves. Please respond by the instant message feature on this board. I would prefer not to have this discussed in an open forum as yet. I have a bad habit of seeing conspiracies everywhere and sometimes they are only shadows but would welcome all of your opinions.
Best Regards Don Barone

Hey Don, the 17 guests the other night may have been alerted by me - I recommended the site to (among others recently) Wireloop, Chris Ash, Mick Harper, bent, Maria K, Joanne Conman, friends from other sites who's names would mean nothing to you....god knows who else - maybe others did too? I sometimes show up as a guest if I don't have time to log in.....chill out and hope they join?

Hi Jaq ... consider me chilled ... however ... I was in invisble mode and they all signed on within a few minutes of each other. Rather odd I thought but then again I see conspiracies everywhere, it is my cross to bear in life ... and yes I do hope they join! Best Regards Don Barone

Hey Don,
I guess that depends on how smart all the infaltratees are. if they are 'so smart' you had better watch out !

Hi coggas,
Sometimes written in a hurry, it is really nice to be able to modify one's post. Better yet is the delete function, as I am sometimes mortified at what I said when re-reading my posts. Trouble is, the damage is done, and the person who has read the post will probably not read it again.

LOL
My "favourite" embarrasssment was when I first started posting on message boards. I was trying to edit and didn't realise I had hit "enter" instead of "shift" more than once. When I went to look I had managed to send FIVE partial messages as a reply to a post. I was convinced everyone must have thought I was demented and avoided the board (GH mysteries) for about two weeks. ;D

Hey Team, Like I said this a great facility, to edit or delete a post after...de-fuming, or realizing a schpelling mistake. Michelle, my first love was the GHMB and still is, though lately I have resigned myself to 'not posting for postings sake', rather I watch. I hope that in the recent meeting of GH and the Mods ( sounds like a band ! ) that items like this were discussed, if so, perhaps I might not have been given the 'holidays' that I was awarded and duly deserved ! -The last being for promoting to the top of the list an old post of the right and venerable Mr Don. ( at least he had some company in the wilderness). BUT now to the crux: What about another star ? is it the amount of that one includes or the quality of ones posts ? Kindest Mark Cogga's.

Hi Mark C
stars are for the ammount you post. The more you write the more you get "promoted".
Yes, I started out on GH too. It was a great place pre-mods (they do sound like a band LOL). I got booted off once - for asking where a post I was replying to had gone. That time Don came in to agree it had vanished and I seem to remember he got zzzapped as well. I rarely go there now and I think I'll be hanging out here alone in the future.
So keep posting and get that extra star! ;D

Talking about hacking... I stumbled accross this book at the library, I started at 3.00pm ish and only put it down to sleep once I awoke I finished it pronto... It's a facinating read on the early adventures of a host of young folk in the days when a young kid with one that's ONE modem started a board, before the internet ( like it is today...) was even considered... www.underground-book.com/ The entire work is free for download in multiple formats... Enjoy C. <this post has been modified> I really love the fact that a html link shows up as one...without too much fussing. </modified>

Hey Don, the 17 guests the other night may have been alerted by me - I recommended the site to (among others recently) Wireloop, Chris Ash, Mick Harper, bent, Maria K, Joanne Conman... I would *love* to hear from Joanne again. What's she up to these days? BTW, Don,I tried to register but didn't receive the registration e-mail. I guess I can try again, but then I will have to use a different handle as the system is stopping me from using JoeS as I already registered it. (but can't use it w/out teh confirmaiton e-mail) -Joe.
