Discovery of a massive cavity above the Grand Gallery is making the rounds, causing much frustration among lovers of ancient Egyptian history. Intending to wait for some definitive news, I read only snippets. The Guardian states: "It is unclear whether the void is a chamber or corridor, or whether it played any more than a structural role in the pyramid's construction - such as reieving weight on the grand Gallery below. But measurements show that it has similar dimensions to the grand gallery, which is nearly 50 metres long, eight metres high and more than a metre wide." If the cavity is nearly 50 metres long, it couldn't be called a 'chamber' as we generally think of a chamber, square or rectangular, probably just a matter of language. I have climbed the Grand Gallery and would rather call it a stairway to the Kings Chamber, and wrote my experience somewhere on this forum, I think. Any external event or trip is accompanied by an internal journey of the mind, observing, thinking, however, the GG and the GP itself is of such dimension as to not allow much thinking, only awe and wonder, occasionally disturbed by people's remarks of whatever kind. This doesn't happen too much in the GG because the climb is so orduous that breathing takes much of the energy, on top, when one crawls into the Kings Chamber, one can rest and recover, after all, it's the "Kings Chamber". There are several stories told by the local people of the Giza Plateau, my reason to note this discovery. Have to check what I wrote some time ago so I don't repeat myself too much.

Born and growing up in the shadow of the Pyramids, the locals tell stories not only about the GP and the Sphinx and other experiences, but first one has to gain their trust and respect, as well, being astute observers, they discern welch Geistes Kind one is. Some 'tourist guides' are just that, others in the same business keep their thoughts to themselves. They all know each other and their families, guards, guides, and police, and know how much the other person knows of the mysteries around them. Those who tell secrets and experiences don't do it to make themselves look important, but do it in a quiet place in a low voice ending in a whisper at times. All is silent as the few people about go within and contemplate what was said. One knows things are so by their demeanor and sitting with them on the roof of stables at night.
Discovery of this 'void' reminds me of Mr. Larry Hunter, 'crazy' Larry, to whom I was introduced about 2 decades ago on the steps of a shop next to the Sphinx by a local who handed me "The Orion Mystery" by Robert Bouval, which I opened to read a page here and there.
Larry, whom the Egyptian authorities didn't much like, deeming him a trouble maker because he did not go along with the program, rather sought the friendship of the locals. He did have a bit of an abrasive personality at the time, making fun of what was generally said by them. He was a sort of oddball, true to himself, but I like the unusual. Having had no contact with him for many years, perhaps he has changed. Larry and I talked awhile, bot living in the LA area, we exchanged phone numbers and agreed to meet at the Griffith Observatory.

Looked here and there for about an hour of what's new concerning this massive void above the GG, read that the roof stones are individually removeable which is interesting, maybe the Designers made it so in order to get to that massive cavity to leave information there for posterity. Just a fleeting idea, read also that Zahi Hawass thinks it may have been a gap used in the construction, so I visualize workers walking up and down this void to place the roof stons of the GG. Others speculate that it serves to lessen the weight on the GG, but what about the weight on top of the void said to be about 50 meter long? By contemporary building methods, it would take an icredibly long and massive, in this case maybe 20 meter on each side of the void, steel beam resting on stones, highly unlikely because it would show in the image, possibly. The GG is designed to hold it own weight, the only solution to this mystery is to bore through the stones and find out. Just saying, as everybody knows this. Back to Larry Hunter, who says he has been at Giza some 40 times to my 30 some times, and we both know many of the same locals, one time I stood by the etrance to the plateau and surprise, saw him casually walking up the slight incline, 'what are you doing here?' we asked each other. I was there because the plateau upon which the Pyramids stand, is magical, sitting quietly at night time the mind enters eternity, nothing exists. Larry and I stood by a wall on the grounds of the Griffith Observatory overlooking Los Angeles. We talked about this and the other, mostly about Egypt, that is, I mostly listened while he talked about his experiences at Giza and his ideas and understanding of the sacred place, very outlandish. Occasionally, he said something that rang a bell, not of something I thought about or knew, but a very faint detecting of what he said and what it meant, which rang true according to what I had learned thus far and my own understanding of things. I wanted to write it down but it was like a gossamer yarn weaving through my mind and was gone, only a feeling of awe remained.

Hi Charlotte for what it is worth I do not believe there is a cavity as described. Possible shadow effect of what ever "sonar" they used.
No offense but typical of mis-discretion hype that seems to always come out of Egypt.
So put my vote or opinion in the false or "Fake News" column.

Hi Don, As you can read the silly 'possible' reasons for the void in my post, especially the enormous steel beam and Zahi's idea, I agree with you it is really really hard to imagine a 'cavity' in the GP considering the construction and the abundance of information given over the years. I think all it shows is the endless inquiry into the mind of the Designer. I also agree that information by the Egyptian authorities is at times manipulated to serve their agenda, though refrain from the term 'fake news' as it currently has such strong political overtones. As said, my main reason for commenting on this matter at all was a story Larry Hunter told me among those things I could not hold on to because they disappeared like a vapor, but did know they came from his inner life as a sort of rememberance, otherwise his words wouldn't have left a notable impression in my mind. Regardless of what one thinks of Larry, everyone is capable of distinguishing a made up story from an experience told. You remember what the Pyramid Champion told me, an old illiterate Muslim, who had no reason to invent, nor could they be invented, stories for he couldn't care less what anyone thought of them or him, but just said 'go to hell' to people who questioned him, knowing it was useless to tell such things to strictly 'rational' people. At our recent Family Reunion, at a Kaffeklatsch with her friends, a lady made a remark about Egypt, so I told what compelled me to visit the Pyramids, at the end of which my Sister laughed, saying I imagined all. Resigned, I said: "You don't want to understand what I'm saying", to which one lady replied, "I undertand what you mean", making me feel less idiotic. However, only a few days ago I called my Sister and beside herself she exclaimed that she is beginning to believe in Gedankenpost, thought-mail, because she had been thinking all day of calling me. I didn't say anything, both of us were happy to have made contact. Got side tracked, but that's life.

The mystery tomb at Giza.
One has to be circumspect when asking local persons to see tombs or chambers not accessable to tourists who visit the Pyramids simply to see them. I did ask and was lucky enough to find a few guards with keys. There were rumors of one tomb they called the tomb of Osiris, which, when I asked if I may see it, I was told it is very dangerous to go "down" because it was under water and it's easy to slip. There was a strong reluctance to say anything about it, some people just walked away.
I don't know if it exists, but had a feeling it does, or where it is located, my impression was it was not in the GP, but under the plateau somewhere near the GP. There was one old man Larry Hunter had a close relation ship with, whose name he kept secret. Standing by a wall on the grounds of the Griffith Obseratory, Larry told me of an experience he had in a chamber, don't remember if it was in the GP or somewhere under the plateau. Larry was also close-lipped about it, said only a few words about it in the same subdued manner as the Pyramid champ told about the beautiful green light he woke up to in the Kings Chamber, which was not Larry's mode of speaking.
Gotta run.

Not for half the gold in Fort Knox would anyone speak to me or take me to this mysterious tomb, had a feeling it was dangerous should Zahi find out, so to speak, or it didn't exists.
Larry never told me or I forgot how he got to the 'room' as he called it, maybe owing to the nameless old man who was not a tourist guide. He, Larry said he looked into the room and saw a figure he thought was Osiris and realized that anyone looking upon Osiris became an Osiris. For several reasons these words impressed me powerfully, but it was after I was home again that I contemplated this statement and obviously still think about it.
Among other things, I recalled the Pyramid Champ telling me that he walked from the Pyramids down to the village to fetch incense and candles for the "meditation people". Before he got to the Sphinx Temple, he saw people dressed in white walking thinking they were meditation people, tried to catch up to them but they went into the temple, he saw them but could not follow because the gate was closed, and he wondered how they got in. He hears "song-talk", probably chanting, and was a "little afraid". The Champ called then "secret people", who "make you like them and you can see them", and that there are many spirits on the plateau.
This, then, harmonizes with Larry's account of anyone looking upon Osiris becomes an Osiris. Mentioned in the PT is that the dead Pharaoh becomes an Osiris. Perhaps Larry read it somewhere and told a story or it's true. Maybe I'll call Larry to clarify this for me.
It is a mystery how the "secret people make you like them and you can see them?" It is no mystery that when the secret people find one so predesposed, have a "white heart", they say in Egypt, they will and have the power to do so.
Concerning Osiris, "He who is Permanently Benign and Youthful", what Larry might have realized in that anyone looking upon the god becomes a god, is an emanation, defined as 'flows out like water', or 'giving off as in a steam', but it is neither, the "refreshing water of Osiris" are divine as given in spell 1080 in the CT:
"This is the sealed thing which is in darkness, with the fire about it, which contains the efflux of Osiris, and it was put in Rostau. It has been hidden there since it fell from him, and it was what came down from him onto the desert sand; it meant that what belongs to him was put in Rostau."

Hi Don,
I watched only the beginning of two of the videos, jokes and laughter indicate the mind-set of those visitors in the first video, then, the same old story: "The purpose of the pyramid is to serve as a tomb for the kings, but that's only the beginning, you have to understand why they had to have a tomb quite like that", then they probably come up with all sorts of explanations 'why' the kings had to have a tomb quite like that. Would be great if you could spend some time at Giza to visualize and experience the content of your own research and forget the explanation of Zahi and some German researchers why the Bent Pyramid is bent and such.
As you know, my view of Egypt is not that of the 'History Channel' and endless conjecture about ancient Egypt. Clicked around some more and found this I like at 'wow.com/wiki/Coffin_Texts?s...'
"In contrast to the Pyramid Texts which focus on the celestial realm, the coffin texs emphasize the subterranean elements of the afterlife ruled by the deity Osiris, in a place called the Duat. An Osirian afterlife is offered to anyone and the deceased is even referred to as "the Osiris-[name]".
My thought when I wrote yesterday about Larry's story.
"This subterranean realm is described as being filled with threatening beings, traps, and snares with which the deceased must content. The spells in the Coffin Texts allow the deceased to protect themselves against these dangers and "dying a second death."
To not die a second death is a marvelous expression, denoting that there is a first death by conquering our demons and avoid snares and traps. As depicted in "The Weighing of the Heart" papyrus, if the deceased is "true of voice", in the negative confession, his heart is lighter than the feather and he is led to the court of Osiris. They, the Egyptians, show and tell.
"They combine ritual actions intended as protection, expressions of a aspiration for a blessed existence after death and of the tranformation and transmigration of the ba and akh and so on. In addition there are descriptions of the land of the dead, its landscape and inhabitants. These include the Sekhet Hotep (Field of offerings or peace), the paths of Rostau and the abode of Osiris."
To my mind, we are the inhabitants in the Field of offerings or peace on our path to Rostau, aspiring to the blessed existence while alive. By the "afterlife" is not meant physical death, which is the "second death" which we are warned against if we don't rise above the mundane. It's all over then, as Mr. Hall joked we are compelled to sink into the mud on the banks of the Nile with the crocodile's and start all over.

Ancient Egypt, a copy of Heaven, Temple of the whole World, on the authority of Hermes. Found also mentione of 'A Tomb of the Birds', "once recognized as the entrance to the cave of Hermes". One could say that all lovers of Hermes flocked together at the entrance, removed their shoes to walk on holy grounds. The Coffin Texts "I am Osiris, I have come to Rostau in order to know the secrets of the Duat. I have come equipped with magic, I have quenched my thirst with it, I live on emmer, filling the Winding Waterway, on the day of concealing the mysteries of the deep place in Rostau. I am he who sees the secret things in Rostau. Oh you who opens up ways and open up paths for the perfected souls in the House of Osiris. I have traveled by the roads of Rostau on water and on land, these are the roads of Osiris and they are in the sky. I have passed over the paths of Rostau, whether on water or on land, and these are the paths of Osiris, they are at the limit of the sky. I shall not be turned back to the gates of the Duat. I ascend to the sky with Orion, I am one who collects for himself his efflux in front of Rostau." Thus speaks the perfected Soul. Implying that any Soul not yet perfected can abide, alone and in the still of the night, on the elevated plateau of Rostau, quaff the divine efflux of Osiris which falls from Heaven to the barren desert sand "to make the desert bloom like a Rose". The Scribe of the CT bids us to: "Exult in the divine efflux which is in thee, let thy heart live." Time to make Apfelstrudel to take with me up North to my Kids to give thanks for the fruits of the Earth and tempered seasons, as we pray in Church.

Thinking more on Larry's unaccountable account of the "room" in which he saw Osiris and stated that anyone who looks upon Osiris becomes Osiris, which was either his experience or perhaps he read it somewhere. It really doesn't matter, he was momentarily captured by it somehow. Apropos the divine efflux of Osiris, the texts state: "I am one who collects for himself his efflux in front of Rostau." "Exult in the divine efflux which is in thee, let thy heart live." The efflux of Osiris is "in front of Rostau", as if beckoning us in our journey of obstacles to reach it. On earth, it permiates the Giza Plateau, which, when I stepped on the place I felt and thought it to be a "holy atmosphere". The text also states that the "divine efflux" is in us, so one could explain Larry's experience or words that in some such moment time and space were not and the efflux in Larry responded to the efflux of Osiris. Today, when meeting a person we feel and say that a person has a strong or weak Aura. I don't think Osiris or his efflux can be explained in words, only in images and feelings. The Papyrus of Ani: "Lo, the Osiris Ani comes forth by day, and does as he desires on earth among the living", and he, "comes forth among these your multitudes outside bringing himself back as a shining one. He has opened the neatherworld." Perhaps the sunconscious world we're not aware of but opens now and then, somewhat compareable with the atomic and subatomic. The "sunconscious" Freudean slip I'll keep.

The journey to death or regeneration.
Touregypt.net
"One reason that the composition within the coffin texts known as the Book of Two Ways, perhaps originally composed at Hermopolis, has received so much attention is that, for the first time it describes a cosmography. It was perhaps originally titled, the "Guide to the Ways of Rosetau" and the ancient Egyptians believed the composition was discovered was discovered "under the flanks of Thoth". Rosetau is a term regularly translated by Egyptologists as the Underworld or Netherworld, which would be misleading in this case. Here the journey is made through the sky. It takes the deceased on the journey to the Kingdom of Osiris on a route with the sun god, first from east to west along the waterway through the inner sky and then back again from west to east by land through the outer sky (the two ways). Between the two ways was a Lake of Flames, where the ambivalent fire could consume (the damned) but also serve the purpose of regeneration (to those blessed followers of the sun god. Re)."
Here is written "Rosetau" instead of Rostau, doubtless discovered under the flanks of Thoth. Underworld or Netherworld is not misleading because the journey is made in the sky to the Kingdom of Osiris, as the article itself states that the journey from east to west is made along the waterway "through the inner sky", and from west to east by land "through the outer sky", but also mentions regeneration.
Obviously, the inner and outer sky are the same as both ways are an interior journey since no one travels through the sky to the Kingdom as if it were a location. Reminds me of my Philosophy Teacher giving a 2 year lecture, the first year into a subject, the second year out, and not to worry about the need to understand on the journey in, rather just show up, listen and study, and at the end of the second year things will be clearer.
The ancient Egyptians, as we call them, didn't "believe" this or the other, here again, they show us the way to Rosetau, to be born "a second time", to go in as a person of "no understanding" and "come forth as a strong spirit", the Lake of Flames either consumes us, or to "serve the purpose of regeneration" to rise like the Phoenix, written about in so many ways since forever since it is the purpose of our lives. 'Lest ye be born again ye cannot enter the kingdom of heaven', and, as the Orthodox Church teaches: "Our God is an all-consuming fire".
The story of the "impure priest" in Jewish Scripture comes up again, in that there is a tunnel under the Temple Mount leading to "a ritual bath with fire and a bathroom". The impure priest entered the tunnel and was never seen again. The tunnel was closed for 2000 years but archaeologists think they found it and in a secret room at the end of the tunnel the Arch of the Covenant.

The ambivalent fire written about, a synnonym of ambivolent is 'doubtful', invisible, and "the flames touch him not". The deceased on the journey to Rosetau to face the first death, I think of as the diseased as we are facing many obstacles on the journey perilous. "The deseased is faced with many obstacles, such as the threatening guardians at the very gates that must be dealt with before entering. Other dangers include the "fiery court", which is "the circle of fire about the sun". At other times, total darkness followed by walls of flame seem to continuously block the deceased path." The region of Rosetau 'is at the boundry of the sky' where "the corpse of Osiris resides and the region is locked in complete darkness, as well as surrounded by fire". When the aspirant reaches Osiris and gazes upon him, he cannot die. Here, the "Field of Offerings" is said to be another danger to overcome, but in parenthesis this field is "peace, or Hetep", right after that is stated that this field is "a paradise of abundance". How could peace and and a pardise of abundance be obstacles when peace itself is a paradise of abundance? As said, I think this Field of Offerings is the earth, in a temple or church. Total darkness followed by walls of flame, as per the Moody Blues, we must make this journey in and out, and how can the "fiery court" be the "circle of fire about the sun"?. Surely, no one travels through space to the sun, not even the deceased of the Egyptians. The threatening guardians at the gates prevent us from entering before we have earned to put on the wedding garment. In myths they are the dragons who spit fire when anyone approaches the treasues they guard. The guardians can also be space, time, and the laws of physics which are not in the paradise of abundance. This is how I explain things to myself. Off to the Farmers Market

In the lesser of our daily life, we say this or the other 'got me all fired up', 'I'm burning up inside', 'I'm burnt out', when someone cheats us they 'burn' us etc, but when we experience an intense yearning to get to Rosetau, or someone we love, we're 'burning with love', still, we're not touched by flames. When something burns it sheds light, reading the Texts is delightful. I am the lord of fire who lives on truth, the lord of eternity, maker of joy, against whom the otherworldly serpents have not rebelled. I am the god in his shrine, the lord of slaughter, who calms the sorms, who drives off the serpents, the many-named who comes forth from his shrine, the lord of winds who foretells the northwind, many-named in the mouth of the ennead, lord of the horizon, creator of light, who illumines heaven with his own beauty. I am he! Make way for me so that I shall see Niu and Amen. For I am a blessed spirit, equipped with otherworldly knowledge; I shall pass by the fearful ones - They cannot speak (the spell) which is on the end of the book-roll; they cannot speak for fear of him whose name is concealed, who is within my body. I know him; I am not ignorant of him. I am equipped, excellent in opening portals. So they are, or many all over the world would not keep walking along the wall of fire. Happy Supermoon time.

The texts state that if a person knows 'this' spell "he will go down to the circle of fire, without the flame touching him ever". Mans Soul identified with Both Osiris and With Nature For my mind, there are two circles of fire, the natural state of getting all fired up about something, which subsides after a while, to the the overheated psyche of some southern baptist ministers running to and fro on a stage, bent over at times, whiping perspiration of the face, shouting and gesturing until a fever pitch is reached. Give me an Amen! Sorry, couldn't help it. Speech by the sun god Re: "Hail in peace! I repeat to you the good deeds which my own heart did for me from within the serpent-coil, in order to silence strife." "In year 1, of his coronation as king, his majesty saw a dream by night: two serpents,, one upon his right, the other upon his left. Then his majesty, and he found them not. His majesty said: "Wherefore has this come to me?" Then they answered him, saying: Thine is the Southland; take for thyself the Northland. The two goddesses shine upon thy brow, the land is given to thee, in its lenght and its breadth. No other divides it with thee." The alchemical meaning cannot be missed, betokening that our own hearts do the handiwork of our own transformation, no other divides/shares it with us.

Prompted by Fred L, ca 2 years ago, I ventured into the Coffin Texts briefly, repeating here some of what I learned then concerning "Words spoken by Him Whose Names are hidden".
As usual, I side-tracked to other subjects, Hatshepsut, Nubia 'the dark land', also the 'land of gold', to which the Kings of Egypt made expedition to mine gold in darkness, as did the 7 dwarfs, though they found diamonds; there are 7 gates, each with 3 guardians to whom aspirant must establish his worthiness to get to Rosetau, or Inana taking 7 steps into the underworld, with each step divesting herself of a part of her worldly garment, returning in new garb to the world in 7 steps.
Perhaps the discoverer of the massive void in the GP were prompted, in part, by the story of King Khufu spending all his time in the Sanctuary of Thoth, "the eight times great", to see how many rooms there are to have the same in his horizon. Mathematics I don't understand are involved, but maybe suggesting to us in form of a tale to spend time in that Sanctuary to find the secrets of life.
Mr. Sahi Hawass understands it this way:
"About 900 years after the reign of Khufu we have a story called "Khufu and the Magician". It tells the story of how Khufu brought the magician Djedi to ask him about the secret documents of the god Thoth, the god of wisdom, so he could design his Pyramid. Djedi knew everything about the secret chambers of Thoth, but he did not reveal the secret. I therefore believe that the burial chambers were hidden behind theses doors".
Mr. Hawass refers to the doors with the copper handles, behind them is "Khufu's real burial chamber."
I haven't, or intend to read anything about what Mr. Hawass thinks about this void, but came across the tales from the Westcar Papyrus. One cannot but hold the 'ancient Egyptians' in highest esteem.

The ever reasonable Germans render the Tales of Khufu's Court as: Die Märchen, fairy tales of the Westcar Papyrus.
Seems the different interpretation are a matter of semantics, the nature of the story the same. I read different ideas of the strange account of Khufu and Djedi the magician, the king wanting to know about the rooms in the Sanctuary of Thoth, written as "so he could have the same for his horizon", which I changed to 'within his horizon', or 'to widen his horizon', since the physical horizon is fixed no matter the location, but the mind's horizon can expand. Another horizon is "The Ring Pass Not", the perimeter of one's experiences thus far in life, say the Philosophers. I'll pick out what I like from different authors, as usual in my bring down to earth understanding, convinced the AE did what they did for posterity.
Djedi the magician
"His name is Dedi," answered Prince Hordadef. "He is a very old man, for his years are a hundred and then. Each day he eats a joint of beef and five hundred loafs of bread, and drinks a hundred jugs of beer. He can smite off the head of a living creature and restore it again; he can make a lion follow him; and he knows the secrets of the habitation of the god Thoth, which Your Majesty has desired to know so that you may design the chambers of your pyramid".
Another version states that Prince Hordedef said to Khufu that there "is something known by those who have passed away", and "one cannot distinguish truth from lies. There is someone under your majesty and in your own time who you do not know". His majesty said: what is this, Hordedef, my son?" Hordedef said to the King that Dedi "is a commoner, a villager who is a hundred and then years old", consuming the same enormous amounts of food and drink, and mends heads. Here, "he can make a lion walk behind him with a leash on the ground".
Some years ago I read something I thought is profound, viz., that the lion sways his tail on the ground to erase his steps. Perhaps the leash imparts the same meaning. Interesting also that the Prince tells Khufu about "something known by those who passed away", and "there is someone under your majesty in your own time who you do not know", to which the King replies: "what is this", not who is this. Maybe just words, but the Prince also says that "there is something known by those who passed away", calling to mind their ancestors, an older civilization said to have built the Pyramids, disputed, and now we "cannot distinguish truth from lies", unless a very old commoner, a villager, who injested out of this world amounts of food and drink, maybe knowledge, comes along. Sometimes lies are deliberate, other times only misinterpretation according to "as a man thinketh". So I thinketh.

Drawing of the magician Dedi restoring the head of a duck, he also performed this magig feat with a goose and a cow, perhaps astronomy related. The image shows him as a goodly nourished man as described, to which is added "a hundred bunches of onions". www.gutenberg.org/files/7386/7386-h/images/p1-5.jpgKing Khufu bids his son Hordadef to find Dedi or Djedi. The Prince sailed southward on the Nile to the town called Dedsnefru, dwelling place of the magician, whom the Prince found sleeping on a mat in the courtyard. Upon awakening, Hordadef saluted Djedi and said to him not to get up because of his old age, that his royal father Khufu would like to honour him and provide a tomb among his, Dedi's people, Khufu also curious about Dedi's magical abilities as he had never seen him before. Dedi blessed the Prince that he may be victorious over the powers of evil and follow the path to paradise. Hordadef helped the old man up, they walked to the ship and sailed to meet King Khufu. Dedi's assistants and magic books were in another ship. The Prince bowed deeply before his father, "O King, life, wealth and health be thine, I have brought Dedi, the great magician whom you have never seen. I am told, said the King, that you can reattach a severed head to a creature, Dedi assured the King he can, Khufu asked a prisoner be brought, but Dedi refused to cut a man's head off, he didn't even deal with cattle this way, but did not object to a duck or goose to suffer such doom, probably because he knew he would bring the head and body of the duck and goose together again, which made the duck quack loudly. Khufu then ordered the head of a cow cut off, Dedi restored it to life upon which the animal followed the King. However, Dedi refused to cut a man's head off and said he doesn't even deal with cattle this way. What is one to make of such a story: man, a duck, a goose, a cow who followed the King, maybe a herd of cattle, all restored to life by Dedi. His majesty then said to the magician that it is told he posses the secret of the god Thoth, to which Dedi replies he doesn't possess them but knows they are conceiled in a chamber in a temple at Heliopolis, in a box, and Khufu is curious about who will bring it to him. Djedi then prophesied about three sons born to the wife of the chief priest of Ra when he visits the temple, and so on, compelling me to stop lest I loose my head and no Dedi in sight.

The Sanctuary of Thoth Surely, anyone reading a good amount of ancient Egypt and other great Civilization, the Philosophers of Greece, great Poets and choice Literature the World over, knows of Thoth under whatever name. Adding "Diviner of Sound", as per Socrates, the Sanctuary of Thoth could be within the attributes given in the link. These would be many 'rooms' in which King Khufu could study. Given we know only of two chambers and the chaotic pit in the GP, one could consider this view and information given by ardent study by scholars, Thoth's Sanctuary. Moreover, it is said that Thoth himself is the Architect of the Great Pyramid. "The Author of every Work on every Branch of Knowledge", his Sanctuary is everywhere, so to say, as my Philosophy Teacher said that Thoth Hermes left his books in the Zone. The secrets of Thoth, says the magician Djeti, "are concealed at the temple chamber at Heliopolis". www.crystalinks.com/thoth.htmlLove the regal image of "Thoth in Mythology"

As with any sublime literature, it is difficult to stop reading. There seems to be no end to the knowledge 'the ancient Egyptians offer, so I won't occupy the subject for a while. To come to understand the texts it is as though I'm sawing the air with my hands while praddling along.
