Ohio go simas Ariston Latona Pistone! I'm lol just looking at the spelling of the Japanes greeting the day and each other, and love the deep bow of respect for each human being. Oh my God I can't see the trees from the forest: Then since the world hath naught to fit this use, Let the world's poverty be my exuse. Some people even call me Madusa, pfui on them. I like Ahura Mazda better, and actually looked if there is a connection between Charle-magne and my name, supposedly French, but found it to be the feminine form of Charles, same root. Royal no matter which way you spell it ;D Lack the magne and blue stockings. I love Honda's. The dynasties and noble houses ARE exceedingly interesting, and I wish I was as familiar with them as you, but am subjected to the "law of catching up"and blame eveything on my Catholic upbringing. I do like to mention that Francis was deeply in love with Queen Marguerite of Navarre; and wise was Hugh of Champagne donating his land to Bernhard of Clairvaux: "What is God? He is lenght, width, height and depth." Our Ben Franklin on the Red Cross Poster with Bacon. I can tell "that's not the half of it." I wouldn't say erratic, but the further down the line you go the faster your fingertips fly over the letters, it seems to me, to develope your style as a wanna be scribe then but I know what you mean there. I do like medieval genealogy, but like you I need tiiiiimeeee to sort it all out, if ever. I would go beyond the pale: a whiter shade of pale. Tanned Charlotte

HI LATONA, Dear Lotte, Do, Daz and Others here , just reading these interesting notes, i thought of a special french site, offering a good 3D-reconstruction of king Richard Lionheart's ( Richard Coeur de Lion // Richard Löwenherz ) very strong and well concepted own fortress GAILLARD meanwhile only showing some still impressing ruins. the reconstruction will bring this fine fortress back to life, into our imagination ! so please look at: ***************** les-andelys.com/chateau-gaillard/gaillard.htmand the 3D-reconstruction at: www.virtuhall.com/virtuel/martel/gaillard-1.htmto get the following images have a look at "image suivante" ! Ok, King Ricard himself then died at Fortress CHALUS, some twenty or thirty kilometers far from the city of LIMOGES ! ( the Limousin region ) . today the central castle-tower, the last "refugium" of the defenders => german: Burgfried, of this also now devastated fortress still reaches a height of about 40m. from the former even hiher top of this tower (60meters ?) king Richard was shot with an arrow, during the siege he was performing against the owner ( a vasal) of this strong castle. some days later Richard died by wound-infection in april 1199. ok, so far ! best greetings from bavaria: Bernie ***************************************

Good to see you again Bernhard I can't read French but can pick out some "international" words, the seond link doesn't open. I did read some about Chateu Gailliard and related history, but don't know much about it. I did come across Aquileia on the Adriadic, which town I know and no doubt will visit again because my sister and husband have a condo there, right on the water where they keep their boat. They love it and drive there at least once a month. I have a booklet on its history but never read it. Mosaic a plenty in the Cathedral of Aquileia, everywhere you look, it too has an esoteric lore attached to it as seen in the curious mosaic pieces, but very plain compared to St. Marks in Venice, only 1 hour train-ride away. I don't think the people at Tapanga are intereste in my request, so I have to think of some other avenue to go. I hope you're warm again Herzliche Grüsse Charlotte

Dear Charl-otte,
Yes your are right about that. My PDA does not like A@B, much to my chagrin, I could just about get 3 words in. A relief to some. You are A lways somewhere in my mind, not too slushy I hope.
Thanks Bernhard for that link, Saved the page. I love Richard and I am intrigued by the relationship between him and Phillip Augustus and their common link, both being half uncles to Henry the second of Champagne, and that Phillips mom, Alix, was also Henry,s Aunt through a separate line, Consanguinity indeed, Still goes on doesn't it. Exactly why Prince Charlie Married a woman he did not love and considered his intellectual inferior, silly man. Di-ana had more bloodlines in descent from the Stuarts and Tudors than the House of Windsor/Saxe coburg gotha/Hanover. Definately shades of the Kwizzach Saderach From Frank Herberts DUNE.
I was on a roll, inspired by others I had a whole glut of posts lined up, I have had to put a few things on ice, sorry to be so subjective. Hopefully by being subjective, the end result may be a possible route to looking at things more objectively, if you know what I mean. Referring back to your mentioning of St Marks, dis you know that the Venetians, being maritime, with the Genoans, Pisan,s were the main sources of carriage for the Crusaders. One of the crusading dynasties, started out as genoan sailors and through opportunity gained a piece of the Holy land. This climaxed in the Sack of Constantinope during the 4th Crusade in 1204. Wherein a Christian Army attacked a Christian city, installing Baldwin the ninth, count of Flanders as King. A descendant of Robert the secound of Flanders one 0f the Original leaders of the First. A lot of the plunder from Constatinople actually is in St Marks to this day.
Sons of the Doge, ZENO, appartently had a hand in the Voyage of Henry Sinclair Baron of Roslin in 1398. The same voyage that saw them anchor at Rhode Island and apparently construct an Octagonal Tower that is clearly pre columbine. Near Providence.
I had a guided tour lined up of the DC map. I was going to put it into National Treasure and call it National Treasure 1.4142. The book of Proportion. That will have to wait until I am up and running again, which will not be long, methinks, I hope....
A slight correction is due. Pepin the third did not kill Dagobert. It was his Grand father Pepin the second, Le Gros. Mayor of the Palace. Father to charles Martel, The Hammer.
Til next time Latona

Hallo Latona,
Good thing your PDA likes A@B again, and I'm always striving to stand on firmer grounds.
I'm looking forward to your guided tour of DC, and was delighted by your mentioning the an Octagonal Tower near Providence, Rhode Island, because . . . when I described the tower on the Meerschaum Pipe, my mind said "the lighthouse of ?, but didn't write it down on account it was one of my flighty thoughts, and now I can't remember the name. It will come to me, it was in New England.
I didn't know all you say about St. Marks, but learned some in the never ending philosophy class at the PRS from all teachers there, in particular connected with the Hermetic origins of America. The "Merchants" of Venice and persons connected with it is of great interest to me. It is a "momentous" story.
Greetings!
Charlotte
PS It just came to me: Lighthouse of Nantucket. The tower on the pipe is round, I thinks. PPS Beause the Knight was facing the brick tower at a distance, my thought "lighthouse" was he is bringing the light to America.

Hello Latona,
You wrote : But this house was also one of the most influential Crusader families, marrying into the kingdom of Jerusalem and The House of France and England. The house of Champagne and Blois , is also the dynasty which fad a singular effect in promoting the Knights Templar. Hugh The count of Champagne, donated the land to BERNHARD, later Clair - vaux, VALLEY OF LIGHT. Clair vaux being in Champagne,as is Chartres cathedral and the city of TROYES
my comment : As a french having lived 45 years in my birth country and passing frequently in the Chartres region I can assure you that it is not in Champagne but in the Region in the North of the Centre Region of France below South of Normandy and the region Ile de France separates the East region of Champagne-Ardennes from the centre region of Chartres....... Both regions I have crossed many times to go see family either in the East and Germany or in the West in South Britanny or South West :-)
Now that I know that you are an historian buff if I find something of interest in this field I will let you know :-)
