I used to think that the greatest "evil" mankind had ever done was to create religion and priests to run it. I now see that this is incorrect. I know what the greatest "evil" is. I know who and what the false gods are. But for us to maybe try and understand we must go back to ancient Egypt for it is there we can but get a glimpse of the true reality. It is here that the major clues were left for us. The major "mementos" and signs from "heaven" and "from God" were left here to keep us going, to keep us searching. For you see in any search there has to be a prize otherwise it is not worth it and we grow bored and restless and basically atrophy. In contemporary religion the prize at the end of it all is eternal life in heaven or depending on the religion some other form of eternal reward. it is the pot at the end of the rainbow. It is the Holy Grail. It is The Golden Fleece. The end prize always an eternal reward of some description. it is really to our limited understanding the most valuable prize but there is a much more valuable prize that can be won and I think I now see it a bit more clearly. You are surely saying to yourself what is he going on about. How can there be a greater prize than everlasting life ? Well there is a greater prize and it is in the knowing is the way to the answer. But as I say let's go back to Ancient Egypt for a moment and this image: And now let's examine The Egyptian Creation Myth - Heliopolis Version: Day One (For now we will ignore the similarities with The Biblical Genesis version) - Creation of light - In the beginning there was only water, a chaos of churning, bubbling water, this the Egyptians called Nu or Nun. It was out of Nu that everything began. - Then the sun god Ra emerged out of primeval chaos, he came out of a blue giant lotus flower that appeared on the surface of the water. - Ra gave light to the universe As a foot note here we must be aware of this fact: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AtumIn the Heliopolitan creation myth, Atum was considered to be the first god, having created himself, sitting on a mound (benben) (or identified with the mound itself), from the primordial waters (Nu).[1] Early myths state that Atum created the god Shu and goddess Tefnut from spitting her out of his mouth.[2]
In the Old Kingdom the Egyptians believed that Atum lifted the dead king's soul from his pyramid to the starry heavens.[3] He was also a solar deity, associated with the primary sun god Ra. Atum was linked specifically with the evening sun, while Ra was associated more with the morning sun.[4] So now we have the only answer ever given on the creation or beginnings of God. The Christians and all other religions that have a god don't even try to give you an answer. The Ancient Egyptians give you a very simple one. God created himself out of the void. In other words, GOD CREATED HIMSELF OUT OF NOTHING !I will let you think about that for awhile and I will be back. So you see we all think this is The Sun being born or created but I contend it is God (Atum) himself that we see being born out of the chaos of the primordial waters as testified to by the water being poured around the void represented here by the circle. The Sun is simply a representation of The Real and True God of The Creation, The Atum. so I contend that The Egyptians never ever really worshiped The Sun it was always simply a representation of The Atum, the true God and folks this is what Moses and Ahkenaten discovered. His Sun God was simply a representation of The True God, The God of The Creation, The God of Moses, The real and true god. The god who said ... I am that I am ... The god who created himself and everything else in existence. The one we call ... "He who has no name" ! Day Two
- Creation of air and moisture - Ra created the air god Shu and his wife Tefnut the goddess of moisture,
Day Three
- Creation of Earth and Sky - Shu and Tefnut gave birth to the sky- goddess Nut and the earth god Geb, and so the physical universe was created. - Ra seems to rest while his sons and daughters are completing the task of creation, this is in accordance with the polytheistic beliefs of ancient Egyptians
Day Four
- Creation of Calendar - Against Ra's orders, Geb and Nut married. Ra was incensed and ordered Shu to separate them, which he did. But Nut was already pregnant, although unable to give birth as Ra had decreed she could not give birth in any month of any year. - Thoth, the god of learning, decided to help her and gambling with the moon for extra light, was able to add five extra days to the 360-day calendar. On those five days Nut gave birth to Osiris, Horus the Elder, Seth, Isis, and Nephthys successively. - Even the heavenly bodies are seen as serving human needs, by providing the basis for a calendar.
Day Five, Six and Seven
- Creation of Life - Khnum created the living creatures on his potter's wheel. - He modeled the animals, plants and people of the earth. - A detailed description of how he created humans is found at Esna Temple. It describes how he orders the bloodstream to cover the bones, and makes the skin enclose the body. He then makes the respiratory system and the food digestion. - In contrast with the Hebrew mythology, the work of Khnum was seen as a continuous task, he was seen as a deity sitting on his potter's wheel constantly working in creating life. All well and good but the real search has to be ... who or what is Atum ? We know he created himself but who is he and what is he and what is meant when he says he created us in his image We all can see his handy work especially in the order of the Universe but who is he is and where is he. That is the search and the prize, once you know this it will shock you. we have been brainwashed throughout history that we can never know God. That "The Lord works in mysterious ways" or "Only God Knows and a million other sayings designed to stop us searching for him or trying to identify him. Well I contend you can find him, you can identify him and you can understand him. And interestingly it does take a bit of faith and most certainly you must take ... The Leap of Faith" But I digress for now so back to Ancient Egypt ... Okay so now we have identified the symbolism of The Sun. It was never ever The Sun they worshiped it was always a representation of The Atum and The Creation and "The Purpose" so how does The Sun represent this. Well once you know the answer you will see how it all comes together. The Sun represents the fact that we keep coming back over and over and over again. To do it all again. It shows that we do indeed keep coming back and this was the whole basis I now see for their entire religious process because I now wholeheartedly believe that we have been through this perhaps a hundred trillion times. Like the Sun we have gone around and around and around on this merry go round of existence. And The Ka well that is the life's essence of continuation. It is the seed of intelligence it is the spark of life it is the symbiotic part of us that goes on and on and on to find a new host ... god the signs so clearly now if we think of Stargate. So that when the body perishes the spark of life will go on. Amazing ... so nice and clear now. The circle of life .... but how do we get off this circle of life, how do we get off the merry go round, how do we stop the turning of planet or stop the world and get off, how do we go to the back of the stage, open the door and stop the life you are watching ? How do we end it all ? Do any of us want to ? Do we want to continue on forever making the same mistakes over and over again. What is the point ? What is the reward of this ? What are we supposed to learn in these travels ? Is it all pointless ? But if we have to come back over and over and over again how do we finally get to our final reward. What do we have to do to get our reward ? What is the prize at the end of the tunnel ? ... Hi all ... In this image as many of you know the number 13 is everywhere to be found. And as many of you know The Mayan Calendar is "ending" on December 20th, 2012. it is moving up one Baktun. Now a Baktun is 144000 days .. interesting as that is the number of souls who will sit beside Jesus and God in heaven It is the end of the 13th Baktun since 3100 BC (actually August 11th -3113 BC I have come to the conclusion that if you believe in God the answers are staring you in the face. If you do not believe in God, an all powerful thing that created itself and everything in the universe, the answer will always be beyond your command. You will continue to follow the false gods of science and supposedly learning and will forever chase your tail, forever chasing on the merry go round, forever in the circle game, forever like The Sun and the planets circling The Sun and forever looking for the answers that will never ever be found for Science will NEVER GIVE THEM TO YOU. Only God can show you the light. And God has left millions and millions of signs maybe even trillions and trillions of signposts for you to follow but there are none so blind as the supposed learned. Those who are too clever to see the signs the disbelievers who scoff at the signs that have been left for us. It is in plain sight for all of us. It is truly a perfect case of the blind leading the blind. And that is why the child, the simply humble child is closer to the answers than all The Stephen Hawkings of the world put together. For they still ask why and they believe. They believe in their imagination and they believe in Magic and the believe in believing itself. We can learn much from them. And Rod Serling a gifted adept told us each week... there's sign post up ahead, next stop The Twilight Zone And I believe in the signs. Like the ancients I too now believe in the signs. I believe that they have been put there for us and I no longer say that is impossible for I realize when we are dealing with something that can create itself out of nothing then there is absolutely nothing that is not possible. So I see the numbers -3100, and -1900, and -1200 and I see them for what they really are. they are signs. From above or from below or from within it matters not for they are signs as surely as I am breathing. It is up to us believe. But too many refuse to believe that things like this are possible That signs like this abound and so they go unnoticed or unbelieved. But if you believe you will eventually see God. And so I believe that the transition to The 13th Baktun will be a lucky transition for Mankind and I believe that changes will be felt and seen and heard and witnessed.

"It's all in your head" is a conventional statement we use in everyday conversation, by which we mean the brain, but the brain is an Instrument, IT really is in our Heart/Nous. You much cite the Egyptians, so you must know that they removed the brain but left the Heart and placed a Scarab, symbol of re-birth/self-regeneration, on it. "In the Heliopolitan creation myth, Atum was considered to be the first god, having created himself, sitting on a mound (benben) (or identified with the mound itself) ..." Maybe you can think of the Benben as the Phoenix and the mound His nest. Keep the Mind open You speak of the "signs" and markers of Egypt "to get a glimpse of true reality." I said this before, viz., once I sat behind the "coffer" in the Kings Chamber, jaded from the long journey and the climb in the heat, in the hope of finding a great secret. Sitting totally disillusioned as all I saw were stones, the words of my Phi Teacher rang in my Heart: you can go to the ends of the World to find what you are looking for, and wherever you go you will only find yourself. So this would agree with your "look in the mirror", only, you have to rub off the black stuff/brain on the back of it, else you see only your physical reflection. You now see "that the greatest "evil" mankind had ever done was to create religion and priests to run it", but now you know what the greatest evil and who the false gods are. Pray, tell who they are, by name? I just read you mean the Scientist. Many Scientists are spiritual as well. "For you see in any search there has to be a prize otherwise it is not worth it and we grow bored and restless and basically atrophy. In contemporay religion the prize at the end of it all is eternal life in heaven", and so on. This sounds as if Heaven was a "place", so I would simply say that the prize is "Immortality". My Phi Teacher would say, "what more do you want, you always want more!" "How can there be a greater prize than everlasting life? Well there is a greater prize and it is in the knowing is the way to the answer." That is backwards, knowing the way to everlasting life comes first, how else would you get there? The Holy Grail? You read that only Galahad, the "purest of Knights", saw the Holy Grail. Look at all the images at Neuschwanstein again, for which Splendour our mad King Ludwig squanderd all wealth of the State of Bavaria. "Think big", they say, our problem is the conditioned response reflex = 'I never heard that before - I don't believe it etc., which at once slams the door shut and we don't hear a thing said, as in this case: "yes, Charlotte I am "God" but you know what so are you and so is Steve and so are we all." And so we have been writing all about in "The Secrets of the Universe", but you Mind was closed to all the Pearls given. "If you do not believe in God, an all powerful thing that created itself and everything in the universe, the answer will always be beyond your command." God is not a "thing". "But if you believe you will eventually see God." Did you have a metanoia? We ought not worry what "others" think, as we project our understanding on those "others", and the first ones to tell you this World is an illusion are the Blessed Saints. As to the Cathars you admire "So Charlotte if you want to see and discover God ... just look in the mirror and repeat after me ... Mirror Mirror on the wall who's the fairest of them all ... " That would be moa Do I dare Relax, "lay away thy greatness and be merry with the rest of us mortals" Very appropriate at the moment Counting stars by candlelight, all are dim but one is bright; The spiral light of Venus, rising first and shining best, On, from the northwest corner, of a brand new crescent moon, While crickets and cicadas sing, a rare and different tune, Some rise, some climb, some crawl to Terrapin. Love Charlotte

Charlotte ...
You want to believe in someone[thing] who created you but I am a little more bold. I say I have created myself. Thus it is I who am God. Arrogant perhaps but that is my reality. Are you part of my reality or am I part of yours or is there only one and is it yours or is it mine ? Regardless I am all, I am that I am.
And it is in my thoughts that all of this exists. and if I could actually believe that and channel it I would truly become the god I am, one of The Illuminati but that would surely ruin the game. You see Charlotte you ask what could be better than everlasting life and yet whenever I ask what this life would entail no one has ever been able to answer. What will I do forever Charlotte for it is written that I would have become God so I will know everything, see everything and have experienced everything so really what is the sense or purpose of ever lasting life as a God ? I have asked at what age will I come back ? Will I be 61 or 50 or 31 or a randy teenager of 17 and in hot pursuit of all the nymphs that surely must inhabit 'Heaven" ? No Charlotte when you really think on it everlasting life would be a torture in it's own right. Boring beyond belief. It would actually be the hell we have always envisioned the lower world to be ... Think about Charlotte you would know everything. There would be nothing new Everything would have been seen or done before. What will YOU DO FOREVER CHARLOTTE ?
Actually The Cathars believed that this world was a curse and we were put here by The Demi Urge as a punishment.
And The Buddhist believe we keep coming back until we get it right. But what is right ? And what is their prize once you get it ?
So Charlotte what is the prize that is greater than this everlasting life of yours ? Need I say it ?

"So Charlotte what is the prize that is greater than this everlasting life of yours ? Need I say it ?
Pray, say, for I don't know.
"Thus it is I who am God ... this is my reality. Are you part of my reality or am I part of yours or is there only one and it is yours or is it mine? - And it is in my thoughts that all of this exists. and if I could actually believe that and channel it I would truly become the god I am, one of the Illuminate but that surely would ruin the game."
Worlds fly by me as I read this, and, mind you, relatively speaking, I practically know nothing.
I daily life we are not part of each others reality in the sense that we are 1001 miles apart and you do your thing and I do mine.
On one hand you say that you are God, on the other that if ... "I would truly become the god I am", and why would it ruin the game if you would be as one of the Illuminate?
This World is a stage and we're all actors, but when we are illuminated the "game" is over. The reason no one has ever been able to tell you what this everlasting life would entail, is probably that there is no language for it but only experience which cannot be communicated.
"What will I do forever Charlotte for it is written that I would have become God so I will know everything, see everything and have experienced everything so really what is the sense or purpose of everlasting life as a God ? - No Charlotte when you really think on it everlasting life would be a torture in its own right, boring beyond belief."
Reminds me of a cartoon I saw some years ago: two persons sitting in a Diner in Heaven drinking coffee, one saying to the other 'what are we going to do next'.
The big HUGE mistake is to project life as it is in this material world into the Heavenly, because and indeed "It would actually be the hell we have always envisioned the lower world to be ..." What we are talking about is beyond time, space, and the laws of physics.
Steven gave the answer, or a clue if you will:
"How about a race of clairvoyant wonder-workers who have been restored to their original blessed state of oneness with God and all of creation, who, whatever they INTEND comes into being instantaneously in an ever-lasting, imperishable, incorruptible multi-verse of limitless creative freedom."
The Wonder-workers are the illuminated Saints, and Brethren of which Jesus Christ was the First.
If you can check your overpowering response reflex: I don't believe any of it, you go at once into your analysis/paralysis mode instead of calmly thinking on these words, the fractionaliezing and confusion begins again. "In thy patience possess ye thy Soul." Didn't the Illuminate tell you that you have to find your Soul? Today, what is writ on the "Illuminate" is problematic, those who are illumined will always insert 'blinders' to force the Reader to look deeper "until we get it right", and only when we get it right will we know what "right" is. No one can tell you, it is your own recognition.
I wouldn't take to Heart too much of what various Authors write concerning what the Cathar's believed, we were not banished to this world as punishment but to learn how find our way back to our "original blessed state." If we would have not been banished from the Garden of Eden, "we would have been confirmed in our fallen state" and die rather than aspire to Life Everlasting.
Words, nothing but words, says Shakespeare.

Hi Charlotte forgive me but that is back to telling me that there is something greater in the beyond and that I am incapable of knowing it and I tell you that is wrong. for none is so powerful as "The Mind" ... Mind over matter we are told and what I meant it is is one thing to think we are all gods but quite another to really truly believe it. That is the secret of The Illuminati. They know and by knowing they can control this material world. This is magic. It is real ... we just don't have a clue how to do it.
So Charlotte be my guest. Go on believing in a place or existence beyond this one, beyond your present understanding but I assure you there is none greater than pure thought. It is capable beyond measure, There is absolutely nothing that The Mind can not conceive. Making it 3-diminesional and solid ... now that is the trick of gods.
And you quote a line which I was going to ask on Graham ... if ...
This World is a stage and we're all actors, .... WHO IS THE AUDIENCE ?
And Charlotte ... The Stargate ... that portal to other worlds and other dimensions ... well surely you see it Charlotte ... it is simply ... The Mind

But the Signs are all blank! Which way is Heaven?
All of us are capable, and I do understand what you're saying about "the secret of the Illuminate", the Mind and thought.
If you don't believe in an existence beyond this material world, does this mean you are born just do die, that Life has no purpose?
As I see it, we are the actors and the audience, unless you seperate yourself from Humanity.
Happy first of May

Hi Charlotte just a very quick post as I am off to the Salt-mines.
Chris de Burgh says
Love is the daughter of life. Brings comfort to trouble and strive
And "they" say Love conquers all...
Well I say it is all rubbish.
The weighing of the heart was a misdirection. The draining of the brain a misdirection as well. "They" wanted you to think with your heart ... but Charlotte the brain is in our head ... as the saying goes ... USE YOUR HEAD !!!
Don't think with your heart !
"They" have not won although they would have you believe "they" have.
Who are "They"
All in due time.

"Love laughes at Locksmiths" Love dances on the Heads of Men, Socrates I think. Unconditional Love knows not of conquering, knows only Love. I'm not saying that the brain is not in our head, but the brain decays with our body when that which makes us alive departs. So what makes us alive? Some babies are still-born. I'm not talking about biological processes from Mother to Child, but what made THE FIRST MAN ADAM alive, whence all live generations. We say "use your Head", the instrument, without deeper thought. We also say "I knew - or feel it in my Heart of Hearts." Concerning the weighing of the heart and draining of the brain, if you're referring to the AE, then "they" must have been bad who would have us believe that they won, as in wanting deceive us about something, so I'm waiting to learn who "they" are. Enlightenment and Truth has no language, "all true understanding is experience distilled". Fern. And if you have experience Truth, it is yours alone, cannot be communicated. "If it could be said, everyone would have told their Brother and we would know it." Dr. Bruce Fisher, one of my Teachers. Maybe we can learn Truth together Charlotte

Found on a website: Vishnu, the God, sleeps, and the activity of his mind stuff creates dreams, and we are all his dream: the world is Vishnu's dream. And just as, in your dreams, all the images that you behold and all the people who appear are really manifestations of your own dreaming power, so are we all manifestations of Vishnu's dreaming power. We are no more independent entities than the dream figures in our own dreams.
Hence, we are all one in Vishnu: manifestations, inflections, of this dreaming power of Vishnu; broken images of himself rippling on the spontaneously active surface of his subtle mind stuff. Moreover, this sleeping god's divine dream of the universe is pictured in Indian art as a great lotus plant growing from his navel. There is an old story from India about the God, Brahma, who was all alone. Nothing existed but Brahma, and he was completely bored. Brahma decided to play a game, but there was no one to play with. So he created a beautiful goddess, Maya, just for the purpose of having fun. Once Maya existed and Brahma told her the purpose of her existence, she said, "Okay, let's play the most wonderful game, but you have to do what I tell you to do." Brahma agreed, and following Maya's instructions, he created the sun and the stars, the moon and the planets. Then he created life on earth, the animals, the oceans, the atmosphere, everything.
Maya said, "How beautiful is this world of illusion you created. Now I want you to create a kind of animal that is so intelligent and aware that it can appreciate your creation." Finally Brahma created humans, and after he finished the creation, he asked Maya when the game was going to start."
We will start right now," she said. She took Brahma and cut him into thousands of teeny, tiny pieces. She put a piece into every human and said, "Now the game begins! I am going to make you forget what you are, and you are going to try and find yourself!" Maya created the Dream, and still, even today, Brahma is trying to remember who he is. Brahma is there inside you, and Maya is stopping you from remembering who you are. . Hinduism is very, very close. Amazing how it could have been so ignored in the west. What hold does the fable of Christianity have over the masses .... why believe that ... Immortality is promised and yet when I ask people what they will do forever they get defensive and dismissive and accuse me of of being all about me. They don't have a clue what to do with their reward. They really are mindless sheep following after shepherds, their priests. Funny enough it was the very first question I asked the Jehovah Witness' when I studied with them way back in 1973. They promised me everlasting life as well. I wanted to know what age I would come back as. would there be golf courses. would I shoot 18 every time ... will I have a harem ? They did not have a clue either. They did not even have any idea of what form they would take. But always keeping their eye on The Prize ... even not knowing what the prize was. What is behind door #1 ? This passage is a very big step toward "The Truth" whether they like it or not. Well we were told in A Few Good Men by Jack Nicholson ... You want the truth ? You can't handle The Truth ... I am not so sure I can either ...

Apropos the Vishnu the God post, "Brahma is trying to remember who he is. Brahma is there inside of you, and Maya is stopping you from remembering who you are." What is the difference between the above quote and: the Kingdom is within, the Christ within the hope of Glory, we are luminous beings but suffer from amnesia and it's time to wake up. We never not said that the world is an illusion, and again I quote Hamlet: "... and indeed, it goes so heavely with my disposition that this goodly frame, the earth, seems to me a sterile promotory; this most excellent canopy, the air, look you, this brave o'erhanging firmament, this majestical roof fretted with golden fire - why, it appeareth nothing to me but a foul and pestilent congregation of vapors." And "We are the stuff that dreams are made on and our little life is rounded by a sleep." All this and so much more we talked about in "Secrets of the Universe." Feed your head, we constantly feed our heads with impressions of what we see with our 2 eyes, what we read and what we hear, mix it all up as turning a kaleidoscope, thinking=re-creating, and project out our conclusions, "our reality". Thought is the slayer of the real, pure thought is a presence, no images, only consciousness, still. The prize? I can quote Manly P. Hall: "The Soul is a magnificent reward for right effort." To find it, we have to totally disengage from the world, not thinking about what cannot be had by thinking. Thinking is for the illusionary world and how we plan our daily lives etc. Everlasting life seems boring to you because you compare it with this temporary existence. Heaven is not a place somewhere up in space, looking up when we pray is not a direction but looking to our higher, noble nature, toward which we constantly strive in everything we do, knowingly or not, all works for the good even when scheming ill. That's all I know Have a great weekend! Charlotte

Another thought caught me about the Cathars and Martyr Saints.
Have to rephrase this sentence: It is because of God Experience, Enlightenment, that Man and Women becomes Saints, and will endure any torture to live this otherworldly Life, or die. One can also discern God Experience by the language of Monks, who spend all their Lives in Monasteries. Both, Saints and Monks, write, record, paint, carve, built the most sublime Monasteries, Churches, Cathedrals, great Institutions of Learning, Hospitals, Museums to preserve worthy and Holy objects, Hospises for Children, the poor and abused, dedicading their entire Life to ease the Human condition and move Humanity toward what they have experienced, to know God.
Many, many Kings, Queens, Tzars, Rulers the World over have supported them, many consecrated Saints themselves. For what? They didn't need Gold, Pearls, and precious Jewels, but gave it. Many a Human had God Experience and built a Church or Chapel on the spot with all they had, even if they had to do it alone for the rest of their physical Lives because they knew there was a World to come.
You speak of the Secret of the Alchemists, One and All, without exception, give Glory to God.
I don't know what the Witnesses of Jehovah teach, but the Orthodox Church teaches that God does not have to be a mystery to us, as it is the purpose of our lives to regain our image and likeness to God, to become gods by Grace.
God Experience is "the prize" we seek by Prayer, introspection, meditation, even a temporary glimpse compells us to strive in Faith toward this Experience. Amen.
Cheers

... It is because of God Experience, Enlightenment, that Man and Women becomes Saints, ...
There are no saints Charlotte.
And what exactly is "The God Experience" ?
How does it differ from "the Kundalini" or "The Gold Epiphany ?
... God Experience by the language of Monks, who spend all their Lives in Monasteries. ...
Do you know why they do this Charlotte ? I know ! I know now why it was easy for them to leave all their worldly possessions and go into a monastery where they mainly did one simple thing. .... They THOUGHT ! Sometimes I wish I could afford this luxury. Just lock me away and let me think !
... to preserve worthy and Holy objects, ... -
There are no "worthy objects" or "Holy objects" Charlotte it is an illusion, it is all a hoax ! They are al false idols ! Can't you see this ?
... Many a Human had God Experience ...
Again what is "The God Experience" ... How do YOU know when someone you meet has had it ? How would you know if you had had it ?
... I don't know what the Witnesses of Jehovah teach, but the Orthodox Church teaches that God does not have to be a mystery to us, as it is the purpose of our lives to regain our image and likeness to God, to become gods by Grace. ... ]
Sorry Charlotte as long as any man holds himself a teacher on finding god and has to follow certain rules of fashion and beard and dress then that is as false a religion as was ever seen. You hold your elders in awe when really it really should be the other way around. They are trying to control you Charlotte. They are trying to tell you you can't do it on your own. They are teaching you to look in all the wrong places. They are the false teachers as warned.
And Charlotte we are not trying to become God at all .... but tell me how did we lose our image and likeness to God ?
In my honest opinion Charlotte you have not thought this through. Only you yourself alone can find this "God" we all talk bout but no one (well maybe some) have ever seen. I repeat you do not need them !

The inspired Poet calls Saints "the sainted Pioneer's of salvation" "Kundalini" or "The Gold Epiphany" is momentary Enlightenment, obviously not lasting or we wouldn't activate Heaven and Hell, in ourselves, to experience it again. "How do YOU know when someone you meet has had it?" There lived a Man where I used to live. He never said a word, but one day we passed each other in the underground garage. He smiled at me and I saw it in his eyes, and there are differing degrees or rungs of the Ladder of Jacob. Persons who had God Experience look just like you and me, don't talk about it because "there is no language for the ultimate Truth." "How would you know if you had it?" At such God given moments I stand in a "Divine Cloud" during the Divine Liturgy in our Cathedral, which cannot be "imagined" but simply appears, and which I call the Grace of God. Imagine=image from outside in, but this experience is from the inside out for the Kingdom is within. The Cathedral doesn't change, my Soul is lifted to higher Realms. Saint Chrysostom: "I behold a strange and glorious Mystery". In my case only the beginning. As above so below. We need Teachers to navigate in this Life, and Teachers to navigate the spiritual Life. "They" don't control me, I can come and go as I please, "they" leave it up to each Individual. The rules and habits of the Clergy serve a symbolic purpose. We have a plan and devise a method for every goal we want to achieve, so does, and speaking of the Orthodox Church. Hamlet too had a method Did not saw the air too much, or as St. Paul advised not to beat the air too much with one's hand. How can I not hold my Elders in awe, beginning with my own Father, and all great Teachers, without "them" I would not be where I am today in my development. Among other reasons, the Monks looked about this world, sick and tired of what they say, the went to live in Monasteries. "Sometimes I wish I could afford this luxery. Just lock me away and let me think!" Not a bad idea I have many objects, some necessary in daily life, some worthy like pictures of my Father and Mother, Children and Families. If by "Holy objects" you mean statues and Icons, we have no Statues, but do have Icons which are designed to take us beyond the Image to see something in ourselves, and "remove our forgetfulness", wake us up from Maya. It is too simple to say that we are not trying to become God at all, much belongs to this, and "they" - are not teaching me to looking in all the wrong places, but for the 100th time: "The Kingdom is within." We lost our image and likeness to God because we were deceived by the beautiful tree in the middle of the Garden of Eden, is all I will say, you yourself has to discover what that means else it's hearsay, not admissable in any Court of Law, human or Divine. I'm glad you concede that maybe some have seen God, maybe you have but 'will' not to go beyond what you can see, touch, or prove. "God is worshipped as a Spirit." Love Charlotte

Where art thou, Don Barone?
Pick up your Sabre, put on your mask, let's salute each other, En grade, fence!
A Friend of my Father has a scar called a "Schmiss", ca. 3 inches, on his left check, considered a mark of honor aquired in fencing, the Gentleman himself told me.
About our subject we could argue endlessly, round and round and unproductive, sitting on a bridge dangling our legs, only to at the end agree that we can't agree and jump into the water. I don't really want to talk perpetually about the Church itself, having said too much already. It doesn't need me to defend it, and moreover I'm still in Kindergarten as far as knowledge of it is concerned. Writing about its History is more innocuous and doesn't ruffle so many feathers.
Maybe we can gather our wits by talking about simple things and do our search for God by going in our closet and shutting the door. I once asked Fern why we need to exist at all, and She said: "The fact is we do and the fact is we're searching." My friend the Crow just swooped by and the birds are singing presaging a good day.
Sincerely
Charlotte

Hi Don,
Writing "they" don't control me, I can come and go as I please", was an inclusive statement. Of course I knew you meant Mind control.
If I understand what you are saying, namely, that you came to the end of the great Illusion and there was "Nothingness", in my thinking that would be, or is, the great opportunity to fill it with what we tend toward to make new tracks on pristine new snow, but as Jerry Garcia sings: these steps are made by you alone.
Generally speaking, no one else knows the way we got there or the way we're going, save those who have gone before us and reached the Fountain, and drank from it, showing us the way to it and inviding us to drink to know its taste and properties. Prerequisite is a Faith that such a Fountain exists, and again Jerry:
"Let it be known thre is a fountain not made by the hand of man."
This I believe

Hi Charlotte I am simply heeding the advice or statement Karl gave me several years ago.
Those that don't know talk
Those that know remain silent.
I am basically through until I design and post it on a website ... no I am afraid the book will not work unless I can get Christopher Nolan involved. I still might try to contact him.

This is what I was thinking yesterday, driving, but many give hints when reading between the lines. I'm off to San Francisco in a few hours, please convey my best wishes to Carol for a happy Mother's Day with a beautiful bouquet of Flowers. Cheers Charlotte

Have a Happy Mother's Day Charlotte !
Another signpost ...
Speaking of reading between lines ...
... Mark 11: 23 - For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. ...

Thanks, Don, it was an enjoyable event, but it's good to be back. Apropos the quote from Mark, when Enlightenment is attained permanently, beyond space/time and the laws of physics, we will have the power and "responsibility conferred on us by our interior Oneness with All-That-Is to create at will unhindered and, whatever we intend will come into being instantaneously", as Steven wrote in the beginning of "Secrets of the Universe", and repeated for "those who have ears to hear." Remembering you once writing that this power cannot be given for it would be misused by the unworthy, would be catasrophic for Humankind and all life on Earth and in Heaven, within. I used to believe like you, haven't been in a Church for decates, but as I see it now, it is of the utmost importance what Church one attends and how, in time, the Teachings become clearer by a mystereous process within each Individual. I have contrasted the Writings of the Saints with quantum physics, agreeing that the World is an Illusion, and quoted Shakespeare................ In search of the Holy Grail Charlotte
