... Jonny (at Graham's) ... No formulae describe why the planets are composed the way they are, or where they are. ... Don't you find this just a bit curious. In an apparently ordered universe the solar system defies explanation. I find it impossible that there is not a simple mathematical formula for the formation of our Solar System and their distances from the The Sun Has anyone ever really looked for one ? Titius and Bode tried but were incorrect. Since then no one has offered up an alternative. Actually quite shameful really. It is my belief, from various studies I have done that in reality the solar system was a spiral and the planets formed at certain spots and distances on this golden spiral. Why this occurred has escaped me for the time being. . . PLEASE NOTE: The Sun is labelled as I have used our galaxy as a model. It is showing where our Sun is in relation to this galaxy and is of course not in the centre of our spiral. It is with Phi and The Golden Spiral we will find the answer. Best Don Barone
