Hi Charlotte, red et all ...
Just to let you know what is happenning in my life. Angelica my eldest daughter graduated from MacMaster University with a Bachelor of Arts program, Honours and the ceremony was on Monday and Marianna my youngest turned Sweet 16 on Sunday and got her driver's license on Wednesday. Has the world suddenly speeded up just a bit? Hard to believe it was 21 years ago I took these movies ... viewed with a new program I have found to make it arts and craftsy

Always look for the picture within the picture. At least so sayeth The Lion King
After 5 years I would think you're completely out of the woods, not even a hint of craving.
I hope all is well otherwise, sound mind, a loving family, good food and drink, good job, good car, good computer, a cultivated garden and lawn, I mean, what more could one wish for?

Cravings still come virtually every day after eating or a tough sale.
Sound mind --- questionable
Loving family --- check
Good food and drink --- check
Good job --- hell on Earth
good computer --- recently got another new hard drive. I am up to around 2.5 TERRA BYTES NOW .
a cultivated garden and lawn --- Jurassic Park could not have looked worse
HOWEVER --- I woke up breathing this morning and my family is fine and that really is all that matters.
Cheers Don Barone

Hi Charlotte et all ....
Went out hall hunting for my daughter's upcoming wedding and found a fabulous place and all seem to have decided that this is the one. The images below show an old home in Hamilton, Ontario situated right in the middle of downtown Hamilton and the gardens in the back. The home is now a museum started and built in the late 19th century by a certain McQuestern who unbelievably was the same person responsible for my Burlington Stone and also may have been responsible for the secret garden we found as I learned from the curator today he was very much into sunken gardens and is in fact responsible for The Royal Botanical Gardens a world famous rock gardens in Hamilton, Ontario. We have decided that this is where the outdoor ceremony will take place and I can't help but shake the nagging feeling it has all been set up for us by powers far beyond what I can even imagine. Below is the home which we will not use and the gardens behind the house which all things being equal will be the setting for my daughters wedding in September 2010. Click on the arrow to start the movie.

PS: Got any plans for The September 25th, 2010 weekend Charlotte ?
Always look for the picture within the picture. At least so sayeth The Lion King
Love the cheerful tune but can't see any mentioned scenery, you must have lost some of your computer savvy-ness as of late, I hope you can fix it for I would love to see your environs.
As for the nagging feeling you can't seem to shake, why would you want to? Ye of little Faith Didn't we, or at least I - remember, recently wrote that in retrospect we can see how our lives are guided or "set up for us by powers far beyond what I can even imagin". Even if I couldn't clearly see how my life was fared, I would completely trust Hamlet that there is a Divinity that guides our lives, and moreover I see Fate, "the handmaiden of Karma", at work, though not in the superficial way it is usually advertised.
No, I have no plans for September 25th, 2010, God willing I will be there for I not only love to meet you and yours, but always wanted to see Canada of which beautiful landscape I have heard from people who have been there. Maybe we can rent a sled to the Polar regions and should we be so lucky to be granted an audience with a Hyperborean rumored to live there underground, as per Admiral Byrd's Diary, that would be sublime and worth in gold our effort and time. We have year to plan, a crazy idea and the expence probably prohibitive, but we can think about it.
You say 2010? I didn't realize it takes a year to plan a wedding, I guess it does.
Meanwhile, love to you, Carol and daughters.
Charlotte
PS The Inkheart movie doesn't work either, for me, maybe it's my computer or I need to something other than click every which way?

Hi Charlotte you are probably missing the codec to play .flv fles. Here is a standard windows media file. Takes a bit longer to load but it should work.
What a beautiful place! Thank you for this Don, living in SoCal naturally watered landscapes recede in mind and the more I appreciate it when I see it again.
Of course I was joking when I said you must have lost your touch, but not so much about going to the Polar Regions, Hyperboreans or not, but you didn't respond to it. On the map it looks only a few meters away Seriously though, I'm looking forward to walks in the parks and long and lively conversations with you and Yours, if you Folks are so inclined.

Hi Charlotte yes the pictures make it look just a bit grander than it is and the location of the actual house is literally in the middle of a city yet one can easily imagine oneself back in the mid 1800's and celebrating this most joyous event. The owner and builder of the house did not marry nor did his brothers or sisters ( most unusual that a whole family chose this route) and so the bloodline died out. Tragic really. I have heard rumours he was a Mason but can not confirm this online. Maybe I will check with the local Mason Hall.
Meanwhile here is an updated version of The Burlington Stone with a bit of music to watch by.
And with a hint from the young curator at Whithern ( name of the house) McQuestern was much into sunken gardens and so I went in search of sunken garden images and I think I have located an image of our (Angelica, Marianna and my) secret garden. Here is a image I found. I will go out this summer to confirm the design, much over run now tragically.

And lastly the hall we have selected for the event ...

The Garden reminds me of Europe, you can clue me in on the unusual family and McQuestern, if it matters, and I'm sure we'll go see it and the Burlington Stone, though you have not yet said, "we will be so happy to see you" or such.
The hall is beautiful. Are you comfortable saying in public how many people are invited? You can always tell me privetly.
In any case, just meeting you will be interesting, I'll be sure to take Carol, Marianna and Angelica to lunch and listen to who Don Barone really is

you have not yet said, "we will be so happy to see you" or such. ... Sorry.
The whole family is excited about seeing you and me included. And yes The Burlington Stone will most certainly be one of the stops of The Tour Bus along with the usual such as Niagara Falls and Toronto. You will find me probably much shyer in person but I think we shall get along famously. I will take probably at least two weeks off (one before the wedding and one after) so we can do lots of talking and site seeing as well.
Do a bit of studying over the next year on Google of any sites you would like to see in this area.
Cheers Don Barone
PS: There was originally going to be about 100 guests but the nice hall we have chosen has a minimum of 150 so we figured if we had to pay for that many to get the room we wanted we would up it to 150 guests.
Always look for the picture within the picture. At least so sayeth The Lion King
I feel much better now knowing that I am welcome, thought for a minute there I had invited myself.
You made a smiley by "The Tour Bus" as if you know how I feel about sitting in a Bus full of Tourists, bless them and may they have a great time - but without us, yes? The last time I was in a Tour Bus was on a school outing. Don't you have your nice new car anymore? I can rent one. Niagara Falls definately, other destinations of interest I will leave most up to you people, being familiar with the country, but will look some and at the proximity to Burlington.
Staging Angelica's Wedding would be done in a few month, I presume, but I can see why it takes a year's planing for 150 Guests, please reserve a seat for me in the corner by the door.
My last post was merely light-hearted communication . . . .
You probably know that Mr. Hall was born in Canada, and tha his Father was a member of the first Rosicrucian Society in Canada. Fern told me that Manly P. Hall, whom she called the "Canadian Bacon", and who, by mistake was given a Death Certificate instead of a Birth Certificate.
In the United Countries of Leeds and Grenville, Ontario, is a town called Maitland, if close enough, a possible place to visit. It remains to be seen if it is of interest to you and family.
These three also go good together, and Groucho the troublemaker again.
In my 'out of the window' post, I also wondered out loud why, besides Don, none of the Readers ever say a few words, feedback and such, but as I mentioned before, maybe our mixed bag of Religious, Spiritual, worldly, a few highly scientific remarks, Rock and Roll, Classical Music, Movies, Cartoons and what post you, is somewhat interesting because unique.
Thanks to Don, who nevers says: "Please stay on topic".... The Universe never stays on topic but combines ceaselessly to create new patterns, which keep it stable, lest there be a vauum. That and one of the golden sentences I mentioned:
"Time/Space and the laws of physics are there to protect us from our own worst intentions".
And Bulwer Lytton again, "Man would arrogate to himself the disposal of the Universe....
King Ludwig II lived in Linderhof while Neuschwanstein was built. I wish they would show all the interior of the latter. "They" are all there. Parzival leaving his Mother Herzeleide; Parzival's half brother, the Moor Feirefiz; the Hermit Trevrezent; the first ugly Kundri become beautiful and calling Parzival back to Montsalavat; Amfortas, Parzival carrying the the Holy Grail; Lohengrin the Swan Knight; die Meistersinger von Nürnberg; Wolfram von Eschenbach; Walther von der Vogelweide; Hephaestus/Vulcan etc. Jesus Christ and the Apostles are also depicted, can't remember how many, mayby three on each side of Christ.
King Ludwig II, patron of Wagner, was nor really mad, but steeped in the Occult, didn't care about the welfare of the State but spent all the money on his Castles. He and his doctor were drowned im Starnberger See.

I can't make the picture to show but saw it yesterday, it happens sometimes, at least on my computer, then it appears during posting, later in the day or next day.
If you mean you the Mad Hatter and me Alice, that would work , though there is another aspect. Don't feel much like a Tea Party because the earth just trembled noticeably. Quakes been on my mind since Haiti, then Chile, then Hawaii and I thought with the tremedous one in Chile, surely at least half of the earth must adjust and settle, though Seismologists say they are seperate quakes.
Mr. Hall once said that an earthquake is not just some random natural occurrence of the earth shifting at fault lines, that the fault lines themselves form over long periods in tandem with our rifts in consciousness. I remember verbatim His words, "It wont be too long before Mother Earth will shake us off again" due to our distructive thinking and abusing our "living" earth - body, mind, soul and spirit, and we may add this to "our inner state becomes our outer invironment".
Fern simply said that when we overburden the earth with our delinquencies, she knocks down shacks and buldings, and "time runs out on us", and I hear that the Financial Market is about to collapse a second time.
Best to get ready for the World to come
Charlotte
PS Now the picture is up. Have you seen the movie? If so, would you write a commentary?
