Dreams help us to delete what we can't deal with in the waking state, but most of them are more confusing than we are confused, nevertheless they are a safety valve. These dreams are classified by the Greek Philosopher Artemidoros of Daldos, who dreamed that "Apollo, the god of light, insight, and clarity" revealed to him a system of interpreting dreams, simple dreams.
"You eat, in your dreams, the custard of the day." Alexnader Pope
The article
"When you sleep your brain cells shrink by up to 60% to create new space for your glial gardeners to come in and take away the waste. That's how they prune the synapses."
When the waste is pruned, perchance we find ourselves in beautiful places:
"I dreamt that I dwelt in marble halls With vassels and serfs by my side." Alfred
Stated is the obvious that when we wake up rested from a good nights rest "we are able to think clearly and quickly", the same when we take a nap. Reminds me of another effective delete event, i.e., when listening with attention to and conversing with an intelligent person on a really interseting subject, sometimes the whole world is deleted, whereas listening to the everyday usual talk, one stands like an ox before a mountain, is the saying in Germany.
"It's the synaptic connection you don't use that get marked for recycling. The ones you do use are the ones that get watered and oxygenated. So be mindful of what you're thinking."
Time-honered advice and confirmed by many an axioms such as "our thoughts determine our lives". Helpful advice is given in the article, such as:
"Resisting the temptations of things that don't benefit you, that's what makes you smart. In order to delete something, simply, stop thinking about it. Even when you are reminded, change your focus and attention. Sooner or later it will get marked for recycling."
Easier said than done, especially in our time, when our thoughts are held hostage by information and garbage overload.
Although the Author suggests meditation, the article is more of a scientific nature and the "Gardener" remains elusive. Knowing what to prune and what to let grow, suggests a discriminating faculty, an intelligence influencing/permiating the cells which cannot think, so we could call him our Guarding Angel, or our spiritual nature, our Soul striving toward Wholeness by pruning the extraneous. This I believe.

After finishing the article on synapses pruning, I pruned the flowers on my balcony, which I do quiet frequently anyway, then went downstairs to prune the creeping plant below the balcony, cultivated and pulled out weeds, especially crabgrass which smotheres everything and hard to pull out, each weed representing an inefficient ad hoc connection I wanted to delete, but I suspect that everyone trying to simply delete unpleasant things at will by focusing on something else or other techniques is not that easy. Fleeting thoughts of little or no interest, yes, but those who have a powerful impact on our psyche can't be forced but need to fade away gradually into forgetting.
Anyhow, that's my experience and I enjoyed the little gardening, also minding the expected rain, to make room for new growth. It did rain.

Another secret of the Universe.
Wormholes of Science
Science Daily
"Wormholes are cosmic tunnels that can connect two distant regions of the universe, and have be popularized by the dissemination of theoretical physics and by works of science fiction like Stargate, Star Treck, or, more recently, Interstellar. Using present-day teechnology it would be impossible to create a gravitational wormhole, as the field would have to be manipulated with huge amounts of gravitational energy, which no one yet knows how to generate. In electromagnetism, however, advances in metamaterials and invisibility have allowed researchers to put forward several designs to achieve this.
"Scientists in the Department of Physics at the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona have designed and created in the laboratory the first experimental 'wormhole' that can connect two regions of space magnetically. This consists of a tunnel that transfers the magnetic field from one point to the other while keeping it undetectable - invisible - all the way."
Love the last sentence, have to check what is meant by "metamaterials".

Learn something new every day to end up where we started, but as Marie once told me that it is the job of science to police philosophy and metaphysics lest our imagination runs wild, which it has and still does, but it's part of the deal, as told by the Egyptians with the "Negative Confession" the deceased had to make before the 42 Assessors to "come forth by Day".
Metamaterial sounded intriguing as in beyond material, a material having properties not found in nature, meaning that metamaterials "are made from assemblies of multibel elements fashioned from composite materials such as metals or plastics. The materials are usually arranged in repeating patterns, at scales that are smaller than the wavelengths of the phenomena they influence". The interesting thing is that metamaterials don't "derive their properties from the properties of the base metals, but from their newly designed structure. Their precise shape, geometry, size, orientation and arrangement gives them their smart properties capable of manipulating electromagnetic waves, to achieve benefits that go beyond what is possible with conventional materials." As does poetry, philosophy and religion, science too uses ways and means to explore what is not found in nature to discover the secrets of the Universe. We search and search...
Science Daily
"The researchers used metamaterials and metasurfaces to build the tunnel experimentally, so that the magnetic field from a source, such as a magnet or an electromagnet, appears at the other end of the 'wormhole' as an insolated magnetic monopole. This result is strand enough in itself, as magnetic monopoles - magnets with only one pole, whether north or south - do not exist in nature. The overall evect is that of a magnetic field that appears to travel from one point through another through a dimension that lies outside the conventional three dimensions.
"The magnetic wormhole ... changes the topology of space, as if the inner region has been magnetically erased from space."
Can any region of space be erased? Since the property of magnetism is attraction, maybe it was not erased but captured by that which it attracted. I also read that the Cosmos works by attraction and repulsion, as do we the microcosm, as do particles in quantum mechanics.
This also brings in Einstein's original conception of "the spooky action at a distance", which in quantumm theory is "the instantaneous non-local collapse of the wave function to wherever the particle is detected". Let's say, if you send me a particle and I catch it, the wave function has accomplished its purpose and collapses.
"According to quantum mechanics, a single particle can be described by a wave function that spreads over arbitarily large distances, but is never detected in two or more places."
Here again, in Aladdin, is the turtle bearing the world on its back, surfacing now and then, but never in the same place twice, or Vishnu taking the form of the turtle Kurma, bearing Mount Mandara on his back while we good and bad guys of the World churn our way back to our original divine state and immortality.

When first I got wind of wormholes, I immediately thought of telepathy, which, when occuring spontaneously in daily life and mentioned feeling somewhat uneasy, it thought of by most people I know as primitive superstition or childish play, because "there is no convincing evidence that telepathy exists, and the topic is generally considered by the scientic community to be pseudoscience." thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/tin-can-phone-27189147.jpgReaching back to scientists in Barcelona who designed a wormhle/tunnel "that transfers the magnetic field from one point to the other while keeping it undetectable - invisible - all the way." If this can be done, how much easier is it to transfer thoughts from one person to another either with or without intending to do so. My concern is firstly with the latter. Other than news, novels, and such, the reading public knows that the word Telepathy comes from the Greeks, "tele" meaning distance, and "pathos" meaning "feeling, perception, passion, affliction, experience", according to wiki. Telepathy, "the supposed communication of thoughts or ideas by means other than the known senses." An incredible amount of information and over-intellectualized information apropos telepathy is online, technics on how to develope telepathic powers and so forth, for me the best way is to just let it happen naturally, with every message comes a feeling if we're not cemented to the ground. Since we're entangled with the All, we can also have a parallel with Quantum Teleportation: "Quantum teleportation is a process by which quantum information (e.g. the exact state of an atom or photon) can be transmitted (exactly in principle) from one location to another, with the help of classical communication and previously shared quantum entanglement between the sending and receiving location. Because it depends on classical communication, which can proceed no faster than the speed of light, it cannot be used for faster than light transport of communication of classical bits." We can use the light of our consciousness rather than classical bits, "because quantum teleportation concerns only the transfer of information. Quantum teleportation is not a form of transport, but of communication; it provides a way of transporting a qubit from one location to another, without having to move a physical particle along with it." So what transports the information if no physical thing is needed? . . . A qubit is a unit of quantum information. "In a classical system, a bit would have to be in one state or the other. However, quantum mechanics allows the qubit to be in a superposition of both states at the same time, a property that is fundamental to quantum computing." To avoid a quantum meltdown, I have to dispense with the classical bit and go with the simple teleportation of thought. Sigmund Freud believed that telepathy might be a vestigial remnent of an earlier method of communication which had been replaced by speech", whereas Henry Drummond in "The Ascent of Man" stated that "Telepathy is theoretically the next stage in evolution of language." I have read many instances of telepathy of ancient peoples, a process from the beginning back to the beginning, which in science as well as religion all things must return to their origin. But I like Uncle Carl's consideration of telepathy the best: "Telepathy is a function of synchronicity", and synchronicity, it is said, is a cosmic reward. That is beautiful. Job 21:27 Behold, I know your thoughts and the devices which you wrongly imagine against me. Psalm 139:2 You know my thought afar off.

Yea, 'tis God's truth, that thought a poet should Inherit wealth, he straightway doth incline To lose it, not increase it; 'tis his mood.
The reason of this fact I do divine, That though, great Sire Apollo, dost infuse Into their minds a goodly share of thine;
And as thou dost not mingle, nor confuse The same with business matters of the day, Nor on the sea of commerce vile dost cruise;
So they, whate'er their themes, severe or gay, Concern them not with trade or balance-sheet, But o'er the spheres prefer to wing their way;
Limning, perchance, of Mars some bloody feat On foughten field, or else among the flowers The deeds of Venus, amorous and sweet;
Bewailing wars, or piping in Love's bowers, With them life passes like a dream of earth, Or as the gamblers spend the fleeting hours.
Poets are made of clay of dainty worth, Sweet, ductile, and of delicacy prime, And found of lingering at a neighbour's hearth;
For even the wisest poet of his time Is ruled by found desires and delicate, Of fancies full and ignorance sublime,
Wrapped in his whimsies, with affection great For his own offspring, he is not designed To reach a wealthy, but an honoured state.
Miguel Cervantes Journey to Parnassus. 15

Science one can understand. Collapse of the State Vector and Psychokinetik Effect Helmut Schmidt "ABSTRACT: Eugene Wigner and others have speculated that the "collapse of the state vector" during an observation might be a physically real process so that some modification of current quantum theory would be required to describe the interaction with a conscious observer appropriately. "Experimental reports on the "psychokinetik effect" as a mental influence on the outcome of quantum jumps suggest that perhaps this effect might be vital for an understanding of the observer's role in quantum mechanics. "Combining these two speculations we introduce a reduction principle that provides for a gradual reduction of a microscopically ambiguous state and allows simultaneously for the occurrance of some psychokinetic effect in the process of observation." Combining these two speculations, does this mean that the mental influence of the observer wanes, the "reduction principle", and this dwindling of attention causes him to linger in a state of lesser observational and psychokinetik powers simultaneously. "The resulting model leads to many of the paradoxical, but logically consistent, features of the psychokinetik effect that have been reported, and make further testable predictions. "The model does not touch on the more profound question of consciousness. But the model implies that the result of a conscious observation, the collapse of the state vector, becomes accessible to the experimenter, with the psychokinetik effect as probe..."

Hi Don,
It is about how we interact with the Universe to create our own reality as every individual does and from there interacts with world. I wasn't finished yesterday.
Psychokinesis
"Greek mind and movement, an alleged psychic ability allowing a person to influence a physical system without physical interaction." Known as mind over matter, but not in the conventional sense. We perceive matter as static, it is actual dynamic, vibrational, according to science also.
This model here implies that THE RESULT of a conscious observation collapes the state vector, or the wave function, and a psychokinetik effect is accessable to the observer. Though not of a psychic nature, in Star Treck a number of people assemble at a spot and when "energized" by some technological method their bodies disassemble and assemble in a different location, a physical effect.
Posed in the article also is the question whether the observer can still exert a psychokinetic influence after the wave function has collaped and a result, determination and understanding of a thing obeserved is had. The wave function is a sort of wavering between decisions of what to do considering several options, the decision arrests the wavering and we are again in a coherent superposition of all states permitted by our thoughts and imagination, the latter more important than knowledge, according to Einstein.
Although the State Vector collapse and Psychokinetic effect "might be a physically real process . . . some modification of current quantum theory would be required to describe the interaction with a conscious observer appropriately", the modification is "the alleged psychic ablity allowing a person to influence a physical system without physical interaction." This additional view of quantum theory brings to mind the many accounts told of illuminated persons in our history with such psychic abilities, usually scoffed at.
The article speaks of the "conscious" observer, not simply the "observer" frequently mentioned. I think of every person as conscious as we couldn't obeserve if we weren't conscious, meaning we partake of the Consciousness of the Universe.
The model here proposed "does not touch on the more profound question of consciousness", and there's the rub. We can understand this also in the theory of quantum mechanics as was explained to us some years ago by Dr. Fisher, who taught Philosophy, Religion, Mysticicm and Science side by side to show that these are not mutually exclusive. He gave us the example of the Soliton.
Wikipedia
"In mathematics and physics, a soliton is a self-reinforcing solitary wave (a wave packet or pulse) that maintains its shape while it travels at constant speed. . . . Solitons arise as the solution of a widespread class of weakly nonlinier dispersive partial differential equations describing physical systems."
This a mindfull, anyway, I don't understand math, but Dr. Fisher made it simple in the sense that he compared people with Solitons, calling them Solotons, arising as the few out of the many, that a Soloton, a heavy particle, travels through space self-contained, passes by any particle it has no affinity with unaffected even when encoutering another Soloton. He made a diagram on the blackboard, turned and smiled: such were the Seers and Mystics of Old.
"I love Quantum Physics, it's like looking at the Universe naked." Sheldon Cooper

Sunday Poetry
Romeo and Juliet Scene II, Capulet's Orchard
The magical language of Shakespeare
Romeo
He jests at scars that never felt a wound.
Juliet appears above at the window
Romeo
But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, Who is already sick and pale with grief, That thou her maid art far more fair than she: Be not her maid, since she is envious; Her vestal livery is but sick and green And none but fools do wear it; cast it off. It is my lady, O, it is my love! O, that she knew she were! She speaks yet she says nothing: what of that? Her eyes discourses; I will answer it I am too bold, 'tis not to me she speaks: Two of the fairest stars in all the heaven, Having some business, do entreat her eyes To twinkle in their spheres till they return. What if her eyes were there, they in her head? The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars, As daylight doth the lamp, her eyes in heaven Would through the airy region stream so bright That birds would sing and think it were not night. See how she leans her cheek upon her hand! O, that I were a glove upon her hand, That I might touch her cheek!
Juliet
Ay me!

Not easy to leave Shakespeare, who, according to my Philosophy Teacher "was a magician because he was masterful of language", or "Shakespeare was masterful in language because he was a magician, manner born".
Exerpt fom "Love's Labours Lost", a tribute to women who 'nourish all the world'.
But love, first learned in a lady's eyes, Lives not alone immured in the brain; But, with the motion of all elements, Courses as swift as thought in every power, And gives to every power a double power, Above their functions and their offices. It adds a precious seeing to the eye; A lovers eyes will gaze an eagle blind; A lover's ear will hear the lowest sound, When the suspicious head of theft is stopp'd: Love's feeling is more soft and sensible Then are the tender horns of cockl'd snails; Love's tongue proves dainty Bacchus gross in taste: For valour, is not love a Hercules, Still climbing trees in the Hesperides? Subtle as Sphinx; as sweet and musical As bright Apollo's lute, strung with his hair: And when Love speaks, the voice of all the gods Makes heaven drowsy with the harmony. Never durst poet touch a pen to write Until his ink were temper'd with Love's sighs; O, then his lines would ravish savage ears And plant in tyrants mild humility. From women's eyes this doctrine I derive: They sparkle still the right Promethean fire; They are the books, the arts, the academes, That show, contain and nourish all the world: Else none at all in ought proves excellent.

Gradually returning to my World.
"The aim, if reached or not makes great the life: Try to be Shakespeare, leave the rest to fate."
Robert Browning
"But woe to me! too early I attended A youthful suit- it was to gain my grace- O, one by nature's outwards so commended That maidens' eyes stuck over all his face. Love lacked a dwelling and made him her place; And when in his fair parts she did abide, She was new lodged and newly deified.
The sun that shines from heaven shines but warm, The heat I have from thence doth little harm, And were I not immortal, life were done Between this heavenly and earthly sun.

Prompted by the council of Robert Browing, "Try to be Shakespeare, leave the rest to fate", I thought of my own adage, 'wander in the forest and leave the rest to fate', except, of course, I neither knew of Shakespeare nor had I heard of fate. Now I know, that it was natural to me to literally bundle up my few belongings and walk like the Fool along the road of life, looking up and dreaming, my dreams of things ideal I could not define, save one. As to what determines our fate is a complex philosophical and spiritual question, as profound as life itself. This notion about fate became so obvious after I had some time to think about my time in Germany, which fate compelled me to leave at an early age.
Aside from this, there is another distance I recognized of which I spoke to Father Ceko yesterday, namely, that the time with my family and friends was solely occupied by what we'll do and eat today, to the point of how many pieces of wood the neighbor put in the wrong place on a wall... Of course, I didn't waste Father Ceko's time with such banalities, hoping not to waste yours either, the point being these things are important for family and friends, but I needed to re-connect with the Church.
What I realized yesterday in Church, is how close I have come to God without being aware of it by simply attending Services, reminding me of Father Ceko's words some time ago not to wait out there in the cold and complain but to come to the fire to keep warm, or my Philosophy Teacher's answer to a students question, 'what do I have to do to understand'? "All you have to do is show up, not once a month but every time". Such were my thoughtsthen I found this poem by James Allen:
Would you scale the highest heaven, Would you pierce the lowest hell, Live in dreams of constant beauty, Or in basest thinking dwell.
For your thoughts are heaven above you, And your thoughts are hell below; Bliss is not, except in thinking, Torment naught but thought can know.
Worlds would vanish but for thinking; Glory is not but in dreams; And the Drama of the ages From the thought eternal streams.
Dignity and shame and sorrow, Pain and anguish, love and hate Are but maskings of the mighty Pulsing Thought that governs Fate.
As the colors of the rainbow Make the one uncolored beam, So the universal changes Make the One Eternal Dream.
And the Dream is all within you, And the Dreamer waileth long For the Morning to awake him To the living thought and strong.
That shall make the ideal real, Make to vanish dreams of hell In the highest, holiest heaven Where the pure and perfect dwell.
Evil is the thought that thinks it; Good the thought that makes it so; Light and darkness, sin and pureness Likewise out of thinking grow.
Dwell in thought upon the Grandest, And the Grandest you shall see; Fix your mind upon the Highest, And the Highest you shall be.

The Treasure of Mount Analogue Its name is Peradam, "the only substance, the only material object whose value is recognized by the guides of Mount Analogue. Therefore, it is the standard of all currency, as gold is for us." Mount Analogue "can only be perceived by realising that one has travelled further in traversing it than one would by travelling a straight line, and can only be viewed from a particular point when the sun's rays hit the earth at a certain angle." "Its summit must be inaccessible, but its base accessible to human beings as nature made them. It must be unique and it must exist geographically. The door to the invisible must be visible." "The leader of the expedition - to climb this mysterious mountain that unites Heaven and Earth - is Father Sogol" is the "Logos" spelled backwards." "One finds here, very rarely in the low laying areas, more frequently as one goes further up, a clear and extremely hard stone that is spherical and varies in size—a kind of crystal, but a curved crystal, something extraordinary and unknown on the rest of the planet." The word Peradam could mean "harder than a diamond", "father of the diamond", and they say that the diamond is in fact the product of the degeneration of the peradam by a sort of quartering of the circle or, more precisely, cubing of the sphere. Or again, the word may mean "Adam's stone," having some secret and profound connection to the original nature of man. The clarity of this stone is so great and its index of refraction so close to that of air that, despite the crystal's great density, the unaccustomed eye hardly perceives it. But to anyone who seeks it with sincere desire and true need, it reveals itself by a certain sparkle, like that of dewdrops." www.mervisdiamond.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Heart-Diamond.jpg
